  • Patent number: 9379558
Abstract: A apparatus includes an AC adapter input, a main battery charger coupled to the input to charge a main battery, system logic to execute code stored on storage devices, and an expansion battery connector coupled to the input to provide sufficient current to enable charging of an expansion battery at a rate higher than a maximum charge rate of the main battery charger.

  • Publication number: 20150054797
Abstract: A manner of reducing the power consumption is utilized in a tablet terminal equipped with a digitizer for inputting with an electronic pen. When another tablet terminal or a smartphone approaches the tablet terminal, each digitizer detects input. When the digitizer detects the input, it is determined whether the input is electronic pen input from the electronic pen or proximity input caused by the proximity of the other tablet terminal or the smartphone. In the case of electronic pen input, coordinate information is transferred to a system, while in the case of proximity input, the system takes an action such as shifting a tablet terminal to a sleep state.

  • Publication number: 20140201551
Abstract: A power state controlling method is provided that balances quick resumption with reduction of power consumption. An upper limit value Pih and a lower limit value Pil of a power idle state are set for the magnitude of power consumption of a system. The power consumption of the system in a power-on state is calculated. The system changes over to a suspended state when a predetermined time elapses after the system changes over to the power idle state with the lowering of the power consumption.

  • Patent number: 8194095
Abstract: A color image display device is provided to reproduce colors determined by an input video signal in a color space of the display device while keeping a wide color reproducing region of the display device with natural hues. On the assumption that a color space is hypothetically considered so that an input signal is originally in hue in a first color range while an increasing saturation is reproduced with hues changed gradually to a widening direction of color reproduction in a second color range or more, the color converting portion 12 converts a video signal, so that an input video signal 10 is reproduced on a color image displaying portion 13 with a tristimulus value represented in this hypothetical color space, and the color image displaying portion 13 displays, and reproduces, a vivid video image without a feeling of wrongness by making use of a wide color reproduction range of the color image display device.

  • Publication number: 20100315249
Abstract: A method for displaying battery remaining time is disclosed. Initially, battery voltage, battery current and remaining battery capacity are initially detected. Then, a first battery remaining time at intervals of a first cycle period is determined based on the battery voltage, the battery current, and the remaining battery capacity. The first battery remaining time is updated and displayed on a display unit accordingly. In response to a power consumption change event occurs, a second battery remaining time at intervals of a second cycle period shorter than the first cycle period is determined based on the battery voltage, the battery current, and the remaining battery capacity. The second battery remaining time is then updated and displayed on the display unit accordingly.
