  • Publication number: 20240067121
Abstract: To provide a multilayer composite for an airbag that has both scrub resistance and flexibility, the multilayer composite for an airbag includes a base fabric, and a multilayer film including an outer layer and an adhesive layer adhered to a surface of the base fabric in which a ratio Sdr1/Sdr2 is from 0.986 to 1.1, where Sdr1 is an interface deployment area ratio of a multilayer film side surface of the multilayer composite for an airbag and Sdr2 is an interface deployment area ratio of a base fabric side surface of the multilayer composite for an airbag.

  • Publication number: 20230228008
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an airbag patch cloth that has superior packability and cutting resistance upon deployment of the airbag, and which is particularly suitable for a curtain airbag. The airbag patch cloth is a woven fabric which satisfies the following equations: Px=E/(Tx×Fx)×1000, Py=E/(Ty×Fy)×1000, wherein E indicates the kinetic energy (J) of a block and a blade. In the equations, Tx indicates the average value (mm) of a torn length in the warp direction, Fx indicates the linear density (dtex) of the warp constituting the fabric, Ty indicates the average value (mm) of a torn length in the weft direction, and Fy indicates the linear density (dtex) of the weft constituting the fabric. At least one of dynamic tear characteristics Px and Py is greater than or equal to 0.8.

  • Publication number: 20230052516
Abstract: It is provided an airbag multilayer complex excellent in flexibility and durability by controlling adhesion between an adhesive layer and a base fabric to a predetermined range, and an airbag using it. This disclosure is an airbag multilayer complex comprising a base fabric and a multilayer film including an outer layer and an adhesive layer that is bonded to one surface of the base fabric. The adhesive strength of the interface between the multilayer film and the base fabric is 5 N/cm or more, the difference in loop stiffness between the airbag multilayer complex and the base fabric is 130 mN/cm or less, the adhesive layer contains a first resin having a hydrogen-bonding capacity, and the difference in Hansen solubility parameter (?HSP) between the base fabric and the first resin is 5 MPa0.5 or less.

  • Patent number: 11505156
Abstract: An airbag cover, a method for manufacturing the same, and an airbag device in which a wound or folded cushion can be stowed in a shape so as to fit in a prescribed location in a vehicle cabin, and which can protect the cushion from an obstacle. An airbag cover that encloses a bag-like cushion that is wound or folded and stowed within a vehicle cabin and expands and deploys using gas supplied from a built-in inflater, wherein the airbag cover includes a first base material made from a plain woven fabric or non-woven fabric made of synthetic fibers, and a second base material integrally bonded to the first base material and having a higher initial tensile resistance value than that of the first base material.
