    Abstract: There is provided an environmental test apparatus that can create a predetermined environment inside a test chamber, the environmental test apparatus including: the test chamber for placing a test target object; a heating portion; and a cooling portion. The cooling portion has a refrigeration circuit having a compressor, a condenser, an expansion portion, and an evaporator and in which a phase-changing refrigerant is to be circulated. The refrigeration circuit has a first bypass flow path connecting a discharge side of the condenser and a suction side of the compressor and the first bypass flow path is provided with a first flow rate control portion. A temperature measurement portion for measuring a temperature of the compressor and a controller are provided. The controller is configured to control a substantial degree of opening of the first flow rate control portion according to a detection value of the temperature measurement portion.

    Abstract: A data storage cassette includes an upper cassette half and a lower cassette half and containing therein a tape for storing data. The cassette has an outer shape of a predetermined dimension, and the lower cassette half is formed with a reel lock release hole. A discrimination hole is formed through the lower cassette half at a location adjacent to the reel lock release hole for discriminating the data storage cassette from another cassette having an outer shape of a dimension substantially identical with the abovementioned predetermined dimension of the outer shape of the data storage cassette. A data recording and reproducing device has a discrimination switch or a fixed pin for identifying the presence of the discrimination hole during a loading operation of the data storage cassette into the device and enabling only the data storage cassette to be loaded and set in the device.

    Abstract: A digital signal recording method and apparatus for recording digital signals of two channels along tracks on a magnetic tape in a helical pattern by employing at least two pairs of rotary heads mounted on a rotatable drum oppositely to each other and by making use of a read-after-write function, the paired heads being disposed adjacent to each other. The input signal to be recorded is compressed such that the digital signal recording period for each relevant track is shortened by a ratio corresponding to a time for which a write period for one track and a read period for adjacent one overlap each other. The write period and the read period are thus prevented from overlapping. The reproduced signal for the read-after-write function is prevented from being masked by an input signal recording current.

    Abstract: In a check mode, a determination is made as to whether or not a disc is stored in each of disc storage positions, and mapping data representing the presence of the discs are recorded into a memory. Disc storage and removal operations are performed based on such mapping data. Further, in a disc storage mode, when a disc is already stored in a specific storage position, the word "FULL" is displayed. When no disc is stored in a specific storage position, the word "EMPTY" is displayed. Further, in a skip button disc storage mode, one of empty disc storage position number is displayed, and when the skip button is pushed, the next empty disc position number is displayed. When the enter button is pushed while an empty disc storage number is displayed, a disc is stored into the empty disc storage position represented by the displayed number. Moreover, in the check mode, when power is turned off, the check mode is continued in order to complete the mapping process.
