  • Patent number: 10709617
Abstract: A pull-on diaper 50B of the invention includes an outer cover assembly 3 defining the exterior surface of the diaper. A front body portion F and a rear body portion R of the outer cover assembly 3 are connected to each other along their laterally opposite side edges to form a pair of side seams 4, a waist opening 8, and a pair of leg openings 9. Each side seam 4 has a sealed edge portion 41 where the front body portion side edge 3F and the rear body portion side edge 3R of the outer cover assembly 3 are bonded to each other at a continuous linear fusion bond extending in the longitudinal direction of the side seam and, in part, a non-sealed portion 42 where the front body portion side edge 3F and the rear body portion side edge 3R of the outer cover assembly face to each other in a non-bonded relationship.

  • Patent number: 9642751
Abstract: In the present invention, one surface of a belt-shaped sheet laminate (10), in which a plurality of sheets are laminated, is pressed against a support member (21) having a light passage section (27) through which a laser beam (30) can pass, and the belt-shaped sheet laminate (10) is irradiated, from the support member (21) side via the light passage section (27), with a laser beam (30) to cut and fusion-bond the belt-shaped sheet laminate (10), thereby sealed edge sections (4) are formed by fusion-bonding the edge sections of the plurality of sheets.

  • Patent number: 9592162
Abstract: An apparatus (11) for producing stretchable sheet of the present invention includes a pair of conveyance belts (12, 13) which is separately arranged, elastic body winding means (14) which winds a threadlike elastic body (7) around the pair of conveyance belts (12, 13) and orients the threadlike elastic body (7) to a direction intersecting with a conveyance direction of continuous-length sheets, and integrating means which fixes the threadlike elastic body (7) to the continuous-length sheets. The conveyance belts (12, 13) include upper belts (12a, 13a) and lower belts (12b, 13b). Proceeding portions (12a?, 13a?) which convey the threadlike elastic body (7) at respective upper belts are inclined so that an upper side is located closer than a lower side to a center position (PC) between the conveyance belts, and proceeding portions (12b?, 13b?) which convey the threadlike elastic body (7) at respective lower belts are inclined so that a lower side is located closer than an upper side to a center position (PC).

  • Patent number: 9011404
Abstract: A pull-on absorbent article including a front outer cover to be worn around a wearer's front side, a rear outer cover to be worn around the wearer's rear side, and an absorbent assembly fixed to the front and the rear outer cover so as to bridge them and having a pair of side seals. The length of each of the front and the outer cover in the longitudinal direction of the article is uniform in the lateral direction and larger than that of the side seals so that the front and the outer cover have extension portions that extend downward from the side seals. The extension portions of the front and/or the rear outer cover have an elasticized region extensible in the lateral direction in a region located laterally outward of each side edge of the absorbent assembly.

  • Publication number: 20150064387
Abstract: One surface of a belt-shaped sheet laminate (10) (continuous diaper strip), in which a plurality of sheets are laminated, is made to abut against a support member (21) having a light passage section (27) through which a laser beam (30) can pass, and the belt-shaped sheet laminate (10) which is in a pressurized state is irradiated, from the support member (21) side via the light passage section (27), with a laser beam (30) having a wavelength that is absorbed by the sheets constituting the sheet laminate (10) and that causes the sheets to generate heat, and thus, the belt-shaped sheet laminate (10) is cut and separated and, simultaneously, cut edge sections created, by the cutting/separation, in the plurality of sheets which are in the pressurized state are fusion-bonded together. Thus, sealed edge sections (4) (side seal sections) are formed by fusion-bonding the edge sections of the plurality of sheets in a state where the sheets' edge sections are superposed.

  • Publication number: 20120078212
Abstract: A pull-on absorbent article includes an outer cover and an absorbent assembly fixed on an inner side of the outer cover. The outer cover has a front portion to be worn around a wearer's front, a crotch portion to be worn around a wearer's crotch, and a rear portion to be worn around a wearer's rear. Opposite front side edges and opposite rear side edges of the outer cover are joined together to form a pair of side seals. The outer cover has non-bonded edges located along the front and rear side edges. The front side edge and the rear side edge are not joined to each other at the non-bonded edges. The non-bonded edges are located closer to the crotch portion than a part of the front and rear side edges where the side seals are formed.

  • Patent number: 7530972
Abstract: The absorbent article has an outer sheet that provides an outer surface of the absorbent article, an inner sheet disposed on the inner side of the outer sheet, and elastic members for making below-waist gathers disposed between the two sheets. A patterned sheet is disposed between the outer and inner sheets such that the pattern of the patterned sheet may be seen through the outer sheet from the outside of the diaper. The elastic members for below-waist gathers each have a portion contributory to elastic extensibility and contractibility in the regions outside the lateral sides of the patterned sheet and a portion substantially non-contributory to elastic extensibility and contractibility in the region inside the lateral sides of the patterned sheet. The latter portion of the elastic member is disposed between the patterned sheet and the inner sheet and preferably is kept out of sight from the outside.

  • Publication number: 20080249493
Abstract: An absorbent article 10 having an absorbent body 17 including a liquid permeable topsheet 15, a liquid impermeable leak-preventive sheet, and a liquid retentive absorbent member 16 and an exterior material 14 including a rear portion B, a front portion A, and a crotch portion C. The absorbent article 10 has both side edge portions 18b of the rear portion B and both side edge portions 18a of the front portion A joined via respective mechanical fasteners 13 to take on the shape of pants. The male member 19 is attached to the inner side of the side edge portion 18b of the rear portion B. The female member 20 is a strip-shaped sheet attached by its outer edge portion 20a to the inner side of the side edge portion 18a of the front portion A, with the portion inward of the outer edge portion 20a left free as a flap 20b. The male member 19 engages the flap 20b of the female member 20 to join each side edge portion 18b of the rear portion B and each side edge portion 18a of the front portion A.
