    Abstract: A motor unit includes a motor and a speed reducer. The motor includes a case including a stator housing, a first motor cover, and a second motor cover. A rotor including a rotor shaft, and a stator including a stator core and a stator coil are provided in the case. An oil filter is provided on an outer surface of the first motor cover. When viewed axially along the rotor shaft, at least a portion of a lower half of the oil filter overlaps with an upper half of the stator core. The speed reducer includes an oil reservoir, and is on a side of the first motor cover. At least one oil pump is provided on an outer surface of the speed reducer.

The motor includes a rotor including a first oil path, a second motor cover including second and third oil paths connected to an outward oil path, and a cover including a fourth oil path between the first and second oil paths, and a fifth oil path between the first and third oil paths. The second and fourth oil paths communicate with each other via a first gasket. The second and third oil paths include, respectively, open ends connected to an exit end of a first pipe and an inlet end of a second pipe. The third and fifth oil paths communicate with each other via a second gasket.

The speed reducer includes an oil reservoir which communicates with the return oil path.

    Abstract: A rotating electrical machine includes a housing to house a stator. The housing includes a cylindrical portion including an inner circumferential surface to face an outer circumferential surface of the stator. The cylindrical portion includes a cooling water channel therein. The cooling water channel includes a main water channel extending in a circumferential direction of the cylindrical portion in a zig-zag manner, and bypass water channels interconnecting the main water channel. Preferably, the bypass water channels are provided at end portions of the main water channel at both axial end regions of the cylindrical portion, the main water channel has a width which is greater than a thickness of the main water channel, and the bypass water channel has a width which is smaller than the width of the main water channel.

    Abstract: A valve gear includes a camshaft, a first cam and a second cam that drive an intake valve or an exhaust valve, and a synchronous cam that rotates in synchronism with the first and second cams. The valve gear includes a rocker shaft, a rocker arm, and a cam follower swingably supported by the rocker shaft and that comes into contact with the synchronous cam. The valve gear includes a thruster that converts the swinging motion of the cam follower into a thrust and moves the rocker arm to a first side or a second side in the axial direction. The valve gear makes the camshaft compact, and also increases the reliability of operation at high rotations and reduces an operation sound at low rotations.
