The lid-side seat winding section has an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of the effective winding section, and the plunger-side seat winding section has an outer diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the plunger. With this configuration, the coiled spring within the pump chamber can have increased stability, and can be located in the center of the pump chamber.

The motor-side seal member is provided between the yoke and the base body. The base body constitutes a stopper that prevents the brush holder from being extracted from the yoke.

The lid member includes a plate member with which the springs make contact and a ring-shaped sealing member held between one face of the base body to which the plate member is secured and the other face of the plate member opposed to the one face to provide a sealing function. In the lid member, a screw hole is disposed outside a region surrounded by the sealing member and a communication passage communicating with the reservoir holes is provided inside the region.

The discharge hole is inserted with a discharge valve that allows only a discharge of the brake fluid from the cylinder hole. The inflow hole and the suction hole are arranged to be substantially in parallel with each other.
