The control circuit controls the platen roller to rotate forward and place a certain portion of the paper at a predetermined position of the cutting unit on standby for a predetermined time, then controls the cutting unit to cut the paper, and after the cutting, controls the platen roller to rotate forward by a minimal number of steps necessary to remove backlash.
