  • Patent number: 7390543
Abstract: A draw-molded and heat-set article obtained by draw-molding and heat-setting a hydroxyalkanoate resin comprising chiefly a polylactic acid, the draw-molded and heat-set article having a half-width (X) of a diffraction peak of 2?=10 to 25° of not larger than 1.220° and, particularly, not larger than 1.100° as found by a broad-angle X-ray measurement. The molded article possesses excellent transparency and heat resistance despite it is made of a spontaneously integrating plastic material. The draw-molded article and, particularly, a container is effectively used for containing beverages.

  • Publication number: 20080041810
Abstract: A cap having biodegrading property comprising a cap shell including a top panel and a skirt portion, and a liner member applied to the inner surface of the top panel of the cap shell, wherein the cap shell is made of a resin composition of a hard aliphatic polyester resin (A) and a soft aliphatic polyester resin (B) which are blended at a weight ratio of A:B=20:80 to 80:20, and the liner member has biodegrading property. A container with cap is provided effectively preventing the generation of resin powder at the time of the opening/closing operation even when the cap is used for a container made of a rigid biodegradable resin such as of polylactic acid, exhibiting excellent sealing and formability. Besides, the packing container as a whole features biodegrading property and is environmentally friendly.

  • Patent number: 6042906
Abstract: A flavor-retaining multi-layer plastic container comprising an intermediate layer of a cyclic olefin copolymer and inner and outer layers of a non-cyclic olefin resin or an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer jointed together via an adhesive, effectively eliminating the degradation in the adhesion when the container is filled with fragrant components and after the elapse of time. The flavor-retaining plastic multi-layer container comprises, inner and outer layers of a non-cyclic olefin resin, and an intermediate layer of a cyclic olefin copolymer adhered together via adhesive resin layers, wherein said adhesive resin is a linear very-low-density polyethylene having a density of from 0.800 to 0.910 g/cm.sup.3 obtained by the copolymerization of an ethylene with an .alpha.-olefin of an amount of from 6 to 20 mol % per the resin, or is an acid-modified product thereof.
