Abstract: A gas/liquid separation element is provided comprising: a frame having an opening therein; waterproof/moisture permeable sheets affixed to both sides thereof so as to cover the opening, whereby the frame and waterproof/moisture permeable sheets define a liquid flow channel; a plurality of ribs arranged over at least the front face of waterproof/moisture permeable sheets and extending between two opposite sides of the frame; and a liquid inlet/outlet portion for liquid feed or liquid outlet, provided at one or more locations in a portion of the frame. Also provided are gas/liquid separators and separation units for use in gas/liquid separation applications such as humidifiers and dehumidifiers.

Abstract: A gas permeable membrane apparatus comprises a chamber having an inlet-end connector portion and an outlet-end connector portion; a tube bundle housed within said chamber and composed of a plurality of gas-permeable tubes; a cylindrical coupling insertable into each of the connector portions of said chamber, having at a first end thereof a line connector portion for connecting a liquid inlet line or outlet line and having at a second end thereof a tube bundle connector portion for connecting said tube bundle; a fastener member for threadably fastening each of said cylindrical couplings; and a ferrule arranged about the outer peripheral surface of each said cylindrical coupling interposed between said coupling and said connector when fastening said coupling with said fastener member so as to maintain a gas-tight seal of said cylindrical coupling.

Abstract: A deaeration assembly for removal of air or other gases dissolved in a liquid. The assembly includes a deaeration element having a gas-channel-forming component enclosed and sealed within an envelope which includes a nonporous fluoropolymer film. The assembly also includes a liquid-channel-forming component which can be positioned on the outside of the element, or can be enclosed with the gas-channel-forming component within the element. The assembly can be formed in spiral-wound or folded configurations for installation in a deaeration module or apparatus. The deaeration assembly is useful for removal of gases dissolved in chemically aggressive liquids, high-purity liquids, and other special liquids.
