  • Patent number: 11849217
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus that is capable of eliminating change of an image pickup direction by a user during an image pickup operation and of easily obtaining an image that records experience while focusing attention on the experience. An observation direction detection unit is worn on a body part other than a head of a user and detects an observation direction of the user. An image pickup unit is worn on a body and picks up an image. A recording direction determination unit determines a recording direction using a detection result of the observation direction detection unit. A deviation detection unit detects a deviation of the image pickup apparatus with respect to the body. An image recording unit records a part of the image picked up by the image pickup unit in a recording area that is determined in accordance with the recording direction and the deviation.

An image recording unit records an image corresponding to the recording direction from among a picked-up image. The detection unit and the image pickup unit are located on a user's median plane and under a user's jaw in a worn state where the user wears the image pickup apparatus. The detection unit is located at a nearer position to the jaw than the image pickup unit in the worn state.

  • Publication number: 20220294937
Abstract: A wearable image pickup apparatus that eliminates manual change of an image pickup direction during picking up an image and can easily obtain an image that records experience while focusing attention on the experience. An image pickup apparatus includes an observation direction detection unit that is worn on a body other than a head of a user, an image pickup unit that is worn on the body of the user, a memory device that stores a set of instructions, and at least one processor that executes the set of instructions to: detect an observation direction of the user by the observation direction detection unit, pick up an image by the image pickup unit, and output an output image corresponding to the observation direction based on the image picked up by the image pickup unit.

  • Patent number: 11368621
Abstract: The image capturing apparatus includes a communication unit configured to perform wireless communication, and a shake detection unit including a sensor configured to detect shake of the image capturing apparatus. The communication unit and the shake detection unit are both disposed in a same accommodation area provided in the image capturing apparatus, the accommodation area being located away from an image capturing optical axis. In the accommodation area, at least one if the following conditions is satisfied: an image capturing optical axis-side surface of the communication unit is disposed at a position farther than an image capturing optical axis-side surface of the shake detection unit; and an image plane-side surface of the communication unit is disposed on an object side further from the image capturing optical axis than an image plane-side surface of the shake detection unit.

  • Patent number: 10067411
Abstract: A driving apparatus which is capable of smoothly moving a follower by a cam portion, and realizes the stopper structure of the follower by a small number of components without the size increased. The driving apparatus comprises an up cam gear having an up radial cam and an up thrust cam, and a down cam gear unit having a down radial cam and a down thrust cam. The up cam gear and the down cam gear unit mesh with each other in a vicinity of a region in which a lift amount of the up radial cam with respect to the follower increases. In a vicinity of a position at which the up cam gear and the down cam gear unit mesh with each other, a lift amount of the up thrust cam is larger than a lift amount of the down thrust cam in the thrust direction.

  • Patent number: 9964753
Abstract: A mirror drive device in which the speed of forward and backward movement of a mirror is increased while reducing a power amount required therefor without affecting a finder image and a focus distance of an image viewed through a finder. A mirror-down cam is cam-engaged with a drive shaft provided in a mirror holder, and causes the mirror holder to enter a finder observation position of a photographing optical path. A mirror-up cam is cam-engaged with the drive shaft, and causes the mirror holder to retract from the photographing optical path. A down spring urges the mirror holder toward the finder observation position with low necessary and sufficient pressure. A motor transmits rotation to the mirror-down cam and the mirror-up cam via a shift gear train. The rotation axes of the mirror-down cam and the mirror-up cam are arranged in positions different from each other.
