  • Publication number: 20010034284
Abstract: A compact automatic transmission for a vehicle capable of preventing increase in relative rotational speed between shift elements. A planetary gear unit is provided with a sun gear to which rotation of an input shaft is input, a carrier that can be stopped from rotating, and a ring gear for outputting, to a planetary gear set, rotation that is reduced in speed relative to that of the input shaft. A clutch is connected/disconnected, the input shaft and the sun gear are appropriately connected/disconnected, and the carrier is appropriately stopped/unstopped by a brake and a one-way clutch. This prevents relative rotational speed between shift elements of the gear unit that does not participate in a shifting operation from excessively increasing. When the clutch is disposed between the input shaft and the sun gear, the torque capacity of the clutch can be reduced as compared with the case where it is disposed between the gear unit and the gear set.

  • Patent number: 6266230
Abstract: The present invention provides a multilayer ceramic capacitor in which electrode metal layers and dielectric ceramic layers are laminated alternately and its dielectric constant peak is present at a temperature below −50° C. The multilayer ceramic capacitor is at least one selected from a multilayer ceramic capacitor to be incorporated into an electric circuit in which an electric field of at least 200 V/mm is applied to dielectric layers as a DC bias electric field and an alternating current at a frequency of at least 20 kHz is superimposed and a multilayer ceramic capacitor to be incorporated into an electric circuit in which an electric field of at least 200 V/mm is applied to dielectric layers as an AC electric field. As the dielectric ceramic, a ceramic containing lead atoms whose amount is indicated by being measured in the form of PbO, which is at least 30 mol %, particularly a compound with a perovskite structure represented by ABO3 is used.

  • Patent number: 6255380
Abstract: A resin composition which exhibits good sealability while keeping creep deformation to a minimum when brought into sliding contact with a mating member at a high contact pressure of over 10 MPa, and which will not damage a mating member made from an aluminum alloy while sliding in contact with lubricating oil. The resin composition is a pressure-resistant, sliding tetrafluoroethylene resin composition containing 100 parts by volume of a modified tetrafluoroethylene resin in the form of a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and partially modified tetrafluoroethylene, 5-40 parts by volume of carbon fiber, and 2-30 parts by volume of calcium sulfate whiskers having a Mohs hardness of 4 or less, and having, at 100° C., a maximum deformation rate in 24 hours, of 15% or less. A seal device to be brought into slide contact with an aluminum metal is molded from such a pressure-resistant, sliding tetrafluoroethylene resin composition.

  • Patent number: 5774345
Abstract: A direct current output voltage is switched by two switching units and a current alternately changing directions is supplied to a primary winding of a transformer. An alternating voltage induced in a secondary winding of the transformer is rectified and smoothed, and is applied to a control circuit. A bidirectional switching unit is connected in parallel with the primary winding, and is controlled by the control circuit so that the primary winding is short-circuited by the bidirectional switching unit and an exciting energy of the transformer is held continuously.

  • Patent number: 5644479
Abstract: A switching power supply device which includes a series circuit constituted by a first switching element which is connected to an input voltage and which is at least repeatedly turned on and off and a second switching element which is repeatedly turned on and off alternating with the first switching element. A first capacitor is connected to one end of the second switching element. A transformer having a primary winding is connected to the second switching element and the first capacitor. A series circuit constituted by a second capacitor and a rectifier diode is connected across the secondary winding of the transformer, and a series circuit constituted by an inductance element and a smoothing capacitor is connected across the rectifier diode. A control circuit controls the turning on and off of the first and second switching elements based on the voltage across the smoothing capacitor. The voltage across the smoothing capacitor is supplied as the output.

  • Patent number: 5615098
Abstract: An AC-DC converter which allows an input current of an input AC power source to have harmonic currents of reduced levels and which supplies a stabilized output DC voltage to a load is realized by a simple circuit configuration. The converter has: a converter circuit consisting of a choke coil which receives a rectified voltage from a rectifying circuit, a switch element, and a diode; a smoothing capacitor which smooths the output voltage of the converter circuit and supplies the smoothed voltage to a load; and a control circuit consisting of a current detection circuit, a voltage detection circuit, and a pulse-width control circuit. In order to stabilize the output voltage, the switch element is turned on and off so that the peak value of the input current of the converter circuit is limited in a DC-like manner, thereby allowing the input current to have a trapezoidal waveform.

  • Patent number: 5490052
Abstract: A switching power supply supplies a regulated output voltage for an electronic apparatus in industrial or commercial use and suppresses generation of a spike voltage and a spike current due to a transformer, and a recovery voltage of a rectifying diode due to switching and it results in reduction of noise interference and power loss. A series connection of a first switching means and a second switching means repeating on/off action alternately is connected to a d-c source. A series connection of a first capacitor and a primary winding of a transformer is connected in parallel with the second switching means. An induced voltage in a secondary winding is supplied to an output through a rectifying/filtering means. A series resonance current in a closed circuit comprising the first capacitor and a leakage inductance suppresses spike voltage, spike current, and recovery voltage of the rectifying diode.

  • Patent number: 5448465
Abstract: A switching power supply supplies a regulated output voltage and suppresses spike voltage and spike current generated by a switching action of transformers, and suppresses switching frequency drift due to load variation. Output stability of multi-output design is improved and recovery of rectifying diodes by a current resonance are suppressed. A reduction of noise interference to electronic equipments and power loss in the switching power supply itself results. A series connection of a primary winding of a first transformer and a first switching means, which repeats an on/off action is connected across a d-c power source. A series connection of a second switching means, which repeats an on/off action alternately with the first switching means, and a first capacitor is connected in parallel with the primary winding of the first transformer. A series connection of a primary winding of the second transformer and a second capacitor is connected in parallel with the second switching means.
