  • Patent number: 8532426
Abstract: In an image processing performing local tone correction on an image, tone correction on an object (face) area can be suppressed from becoming nonuniform. The apparatus is provided with an acquisition unit (102) that acquires coordinate information on an object area, a division unit (103) that divides the inputted image into a plurality of divided areas, a first decision unit (105) that decides a tone correction coefficient for each of the divided areas, a second decision unit (106) that decides a tone correction coefficient for the object area based on coordinate information on the object area and the tone correction coefficients for the plurality of divided areas, and an image processing unit (107) that performs tone correction processing on the object area by applying thereto the tone correction coefficient decided by the second decision unit in a uniform manner without depending on coordinates thereof.

  • Patent number: 8391669
Abstract: An apparatus, which controls a playback speed of a video content to enable the sound included therein to be in a well-audible range, is provided. A playback speed range is calculated based on sound characteristic information obtained by analyzing audio data of a video content and a predetermined sound parameter. A specific playback speed in the playback speed range is calculated based on a selected playback speed, and a video content is played back at the playback speed.

  • Publication number: 20070124534
Abstract: When a CPU receives a rewriting invalidate command from a terminal device, it copies a write program and a delete program stored in a flash memory into a DRAM, executes the copied write program and the copied delete program, and rewrites the write program and the delete program into an NOP instruction, a reset instruction, or an undefined instruction. This prevents unauthorized manipulation of data stored in the flash memory.

  • Patent number: 6078993
Abstract: An address buffer that stores information used to access a data memory is disposed in a cache unit that supplies data such as an instruction code to an instruction executing unit. A tag memory and a data memory are independently accessed. The data memory is accessed corresponding to access information stored in the address buffer. Data is output from the data memory in the input order of data requests. When a data release signal is not received from the instruction executing unit, since access information is buffered in the address buffer, a large data buffer for storing the output data of the data memory is not required. In addition, in an associative type cache unit, the tag memory and the address buffer can be formed in the same memory.
