  • Publication number: 20250244128
Abstract: A phase difference measuring method uses an atomic wave interferometer that separates an atomic wave by a first Raman beam, reflects the atomic wave by a second Raman beam, and separates again the atomic wave by a third Raman beam to make the atomic wave interfere. The method applies to the second Raman beam an offset phase and an oscillation phase having an amplitude ? and an angular frequency ? to modulate a phase of the atomic wave. A number-of-atoms measuring apparatus measures an intensity signal I of an interfered atomic wave. An observed phase difference ? is calculated from a ? component and a 2? component of the intensity signal I and the amplitude ?. The offset phase is subtracted from the observed phase difference ? to calculate a measured phase difference. Feedback control is conducted for the offset phase such that cos ?=?1.

  • Publication number: 20250044099
Abstract: An inertial sensor includes a dual atom interferometer. A moving standing light wave generation device in the dual atom interferometer generates M (3?M) moving standing light waves. Each of the M moving standing light waves is generated by a pair of counter-propagating laser beams. The moving standing light wave generation device adjusts two-photon detuning of a pair of counter-propagating laser beams corresponding to each of N (2?N<M) moving standing light waves out of the M moving standing light waves such that the difference between an interferometric phase corresponding to one atomic beam obtained by interfering with the M moving standing light waves and an interferometric phase corresponding to the other atomic beam obtained by interfering with the M moving standing light waves stays constant.
