  • Patent number: 10810960
Abstract: The present invention provides a display device (smartphone (3)) that realizes less power consumption for refreshing a video. The smartphone (3) includes: a host (2) configured to obtain image data which is to be supplied to an LCD panel (31); and a driver (32) configured to transmit, to the LCD panel (31), the image data so as to refresh a video which is displayed by the display panel, the driver (32) being configured to refresh a video, displayed on an extended region (312), at a refresh rate lower than that at which the driver (32) refreshes data displayed on a main region (311).

  • Patent number: 10761634
Abstract: The present invention improves the accuracy of detection of touch coordinates in a second area within a first area while reducing power consumed by a device as a whole. A control circuit (23) controls a driving circuit (21) and a detection circuit (22) so that the driving circuit (21) and the detection circuit (22) perform scanning on a plurality of drive electrodes and a plurality of detection electrodes, both of which construct a first area of a touch panel (1), and perform scanning at least once on part of the plurality of detection electrodes and part of the plurality of drive electrodes, both of which construct a second area within the first area, after the scanning on the first area has been performed but before a subsequent scanning on the first area is started.

  • Patent number: 10755620
Abstract: The driver calculates a white gamma curve based on a deviation of a tone (including a maximum tone) of white displayed on a liquid crystal display panel (LCD panel) with respect to a target tone value and on a measured gamma value at arbitrary tones excluding a maximum tone in a white gamma characteristic of the LCD panel. The driver calculates three primary gamma curves by applying, to the white gamma curve, a relation obtained by comparing a gamma curve of white of a reference display panel with gamma curves of respective red, green, and blue. The driver corrects a white balance of display data based on the three primary gamma curves and expected output values of respective three primary colors calculated based on highest tone values of three primary colors of the reference display panel and of white of the LCD panel.
