  • Patent number: 10767694
Abstract: A manufacturing method for a sliding member is a method for manufacturing the sliding member in which a surface of an oxide film covering a metal base material serves as a sliding surface, and includes a dispersion step for dispersing a plurality of hard particles having a higher hardness than the oxide film through a surface layer of the metal base material, an oxide film generation step for generating the oxide film on the surface of the metal base material after the dispersion step, and an exposure step for exposing some of the plurality of hard particles from the surface of the oxide film by partially removing the oxide film.

  • Publication number: 20190271372
Abstract: A shock absorber of the present invention includes an aluminum alloy-made cylinder having a plasma electrolytic oxide film on an inner periphery, a piston slidably inserted in the cylinder, and a piston rod movably inserted in the cylinder and connected to the piston. Further, a method for manufacturing a sliding member includes a plasma electrolytic oxidation treatment step of forming a plasma electrolytic oxide film with a film thickness of 40 ?m or more on a sliding surface of an aluminum alloy-made sliding member, and a polishing treatment step of polishing a surface of the plasma electrolytic oxide film.

  • Publication number: 20150368578
Abstract: Problems to be solved: To provide a sliding member capable of achieving low friction properties and low wearing properties under dry conditions (i.e., in the absence of a lubricant). Solution: A sliding member including: a sliding-element 1; and a sliding-element 2 which serves as a counterbody to the sliding-element 1, in which the sliding-element 1 is made of oxide ceramics and the sliding-element 2 is made of a thin film containing hydrogen and sp3/sp2-hybridized carbon. Advantages: The sliding member achieves low friction properties and low wearing properties and in which the friction coefficient is unrelated to the sliding speed.
