  • Publication number: 20240104538
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a sales data processing apparatus includes a camera positioned to acquire images of a region around the sales data processing apparatus and a user input unit permitting a user to operate the sales data processing apparatus. A controller is configured to perform registration processing on items in a sales transaction, acquire a first image from the camera, acquire a second image from the camera after the first image, and then acquire an image analysis comparing the first image to the second image to determine whether the camera has shifted position between the acquisition of the first image and the second image. If the camera has shifted between the acquisition of the first image and the second image, the controller performs countermeasure processing, such as pausing the sales data processing, issuing a warning notification, or attempting to return the camera to the previous position.

  • Patent number: 11907927
Abstract: A sales data processing system includes a first reader that reads a code symbol as a visible image included in image information output by an imaging unit, a second reader that reads a code symbol as an invisible image in the image information, and a third reader that recognizes a service image in the image information. The system includes a registrar that registers information as sales data on a commodity identified by the code symbol read by the first or second reader, and a standby processor that suspends reading by the second reader and waits for recognition of a service image by the third reader in response to a commodity being identified by the code symbol read by the second reader. The system includes a service processor that reflects a service in the sales data registered by the registrar in response to the third reader recognizing the service image.

  • Publication number: 20230237513
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a server for a store introduction system includes communication interfaces to connect to a member site server and a plurality of store servers. A control unit with a processor and memory collects customer information of a customer provided to the member site server and sales transaction related information from a store server. The control unit also collects store information from the store servers indicating commodities sold at each store and the customers of each store and performs a matching process between the customer and the stores based on purchase preferences of the customer indicated in the customer information and characteristics of stores indicated in the store information. A result of the matching process is transmitted to the member site server.

  • Publication number: 20230035629
Abstract: A first reader is configured to read an invisible code symbol attached to each package surface of a commodity from an image of the commodity acquired by an imaging device. A second reader is configured to read a predetermined flag figure attached to a commodity as a service target. A third reader is configured to read a service label representing a content of a service that is provided during purchase of the commodity on condition that the second reader succeeds to read the flag figure. An output is configured to output a reading result of the first reader. If the third reader reads the service label, outputting a reading result of the third reader. The flag figure is attached to each of the package surfaces to which the code symbol is attached. The second reader starts reading the flag figure after the first reading unit reads the code symbol.
