  • Patent number: 7073483
Abstract: An intake air quantity controlling device for an internal combustion engine that includes a shaft, a throttle valve, a final spur gear, a drive motor, a full closure stopper, a full opening stopper, and a collision portion. The shaft is rotatably provided across an intake passage. The throttle valve is fixed to the shaft. The final spur gear is fixed to an end portion of the shaft. The drive motor applies a rotational force to the final spur gear. A full closure stopper determines a full closure position of the throttle valve, and full opening stopper determines a full opening position of the throttle valve. The final spur gear is provided with the collision portion, which collides with the full closure stopper and the full opening stopper to stop rotation of the final spur gear.

  • Patent number: 7036525
Abstract: A bleed-type proportional electromagnetic valve having an input port, output port, and ejection port is disclosed. Fluid force and pressing force, proportionate to an output pressure and a current flowing in a solenoid coil respectively, act on a bleed valve for controlling the output pressure, whereby the valve can obtain an output pressure commensurate to the flowing current by displacing the valve to a position that those forces counterbalance, wherein the valve is provided with a stop valve disposed so as to be in sliding contact with a passage between the input and output port, and in contact with or separated from a valve seat. This enable the stop valve to contact with the valve seat so as to close the input port and communicate the output port with the ejection port when controlling the output pressure to be minimum.

  • Patent number: 7024980
Abstract: A high-pressure fuel pump of a simple construction is capable of distributing the position of contact between a tappet and a cam so as to improve durability of the tappet without causing seizure of a piston. A cylinder is arranged in a housing, and the piston is received in the cylinder for sliding reciprocation so that fuel is sucked into the cylinder and pressurized by the piston. The tappet is arranged inside one end of the housing for reciprocation, and contacts the cam, which rotates with a camshaft of an engine, so as transmit a driving force of the engine to the piston. A sleeve is arranged between the tappet and the housing, and clearance fitted to an outer peripheral surface of the tappet and an inner peripheral surface of the housing. The tappet is caused to rotate on its own axis by a frictional force generated between the cam and the tappet.

  • Publication number: 20050284524
Abstract: Disclosed is an electromagnetic valve in which a force due to a working fluid from an inflow hole acting perpendicularly with respect to the axis of a shut-off valve is reduced to thereby reduce the sliding resistance of the shut-off valve. An electromagnetic valve according to the present invention includes: a housing (10) having an inflow hole (11), an inner flow path (12), and a discharge hole (13); a valve seat (15) secured in position inside the housing (10); a shut-off valve (16) adapted to abut one surface of the valve seat (15) to shut off the working fluid flowing into the inner flow path (12) through the inflow hole (11); and a pressure regulating valve (17) provided coaxially with the shut-off valve (16) and adapted to control, through adjustment of the dimensions of a gap between itself and the other surface of the valve seat (15), the amount of working fluid flowing to the exterior of the housing (10) through the discharge hole (13).

  • Patent number: 6799954
Abstract: A tappet turning prevention structure for a fuel supply apparatus includes a piston defining a fuel pressurizing chamber within the housing. A tappet disposed at one end of the piston has accommodated in it a roller driven by a cam of an engine and a roller supporting pin for transmitting a force from the cam to the piston. The tappet is housed by a bracket which has one or two grooves in an inner surface of it for supporting the roller supporting pin at one or both ends. The number of parts can be decreased because the turning prevention pin for the tappet and the roller supporting pin is a single common pin, and therefore the need of controlling of the press-fit loads is eliminated because no process for thrusting the tappet turning prevention pin into the outer circumference of the tappet is involved.
