  • Publication number: 20070299200
Abstract: A hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition, which comprises 100 parts by weight of hydrogenated nitrile rubber having a Mooney viscosity ML1+4 (100° C.) of 100 or less, an acrylonitrile content of 30-50%, and an iodine value of 28 or less, 60-250 parts by weight of carbon fibers, and 12-70 parts by weight of a polyfunctional group-based cocross-linking agent having a molecular weight of 150-500, and a viscosity (20° C.) of 3-120 mPa·s. The composition can further contain 30-150 parts by weight of carbon black and/or 60 parts by weight or less of graphite. The resulting hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition enables higher loadings of carbon fibers without lowering the kneadability and the molding processability, thereby improving the abrasion resistance of seal materials cross-linking molded from the composition.

  • Patent number: 7173087
Abstract: A hydrogenated nitrite rubber composition for providing a cross-linked product having a 20% modulus of 10 MPa or more and a thermal conductivity of 0.4 W/m·K or more at 25° C. The hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition includes 100 parts by weight of hydrogenated nitrile rubber having a bound acrylonitrile content of 40% or more, a polymer Mooney viscosity ML1+4 (100° C.) of 75 or less (median) as determined according to JIS K-6395, an iodine value of 23 or less (median), and at least 110 parts by weight in sum total of carbon black as a filler and other gas shielding filler. The hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition can effectively be used as a molding material for sliding applications or for a static sealing members for highly permeable gases. The hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition has a distinguishing carbon dioxide gas shieldability, heat resistance, and wear characteristics.

  • Patent number: 7094825
Abstract: A hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition, which comprises 100 parts by weight of hydrogenated nitrile rubber with a bound acrylonitrile content of not less than 30%, a polymer Mooney viscosity ML1+4(100° C.)(according to JIS K6395) of not more than 80 (median value) and an iodine number of not more than 28 (median value), and 65 to 200 parts by weight of carbon fibers is provided as a hydrogenated nitrile rubber composition containing carbon fibers as filled at a high density, which can overcome inconveniences as to kneadability and moldability and improve the wear resistance, and thus can be used as a suitable molding material for sealing members.
