  • Patent number: 4563873
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling production in a spinning machine is disclosed herein. Sliver consumption quantity at each of the spinning stations is computed from the count of pulse signals generated in synchronism with the rotation of a drive shaft, e.g., of a winding drum, and from the count of those pulse signals generated in the same way but during yarn piecing or doffing operations when no spun yarn is wound. When a reference value of preset data is reached by the computed sliver consumption quantity with respect to any spinning station, a device is operated to give an alarm signaling the need for sliver can replacement with a full one at that station.

  • Patent number: 4542560
Abstract: In the present invention, a plurality of fixed flats are disposed in juxtaposition to one another, and an opening 5 to 33 mm wide is formed between each pair of adjoining fixed flats, in such a manner that the dust is entrained in the discharge air current produced at the upstream side of the opening and extracted out of the opened fiber mass.

  • Patent number: 4537018
Abstract: An apparatus for sliver can controlling in a spinning mill having a plurality of spinning machines each comprising a plurality of spinning stations. The apparatus includes various lines of sliver can transporting tracks through which a full sliver can may be brought to a position adjacent to any of the spinning stations, as required. Sliver consumption quantities at the respective stations are computed by a control circuit as a central processing unit. When the sliver consumption at any one of the spinning stations reaches a predetermined quantity at which its sliver can is nearly empty, the control circuit operates to energize a warning means and means for indicating the number designating such spinning station calling for sliver can replacement.

  • Patent number: 4023338
Abstract: This invention is applicable for carrying out the doffing operation of several types of fly frames such as a fly frame provided with an upper rail having a plurality of flyers in suspended condition and a mechanism for driving these flyers therein, and a fly frame provided with a spindle rail and a bobbin rail disposed at a position above the spindle rail in such a condition that the bobbin rail can be displaced vertically during the building motion. According to the doffing method of the present invention, when it is required to carry out the doffing operation, the bobbins containing a full yarn package are relatively displaced to a position free from the corresponding flyers and the engagement of the bobbins with the corresponding bobbin driving mechanisms is released. Next the bobbins containing a full yarn package are carried toward a longitudinal end of the fly frame in a space above the arrangement of the bobbin driving mechanisms.

  • Patent number: 4006864
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for carrying out the doffing and donning operation of a spinning machine such as an open-end spinning machine. A suction nozzle is carried along the lengthwise direction of the spinning machine at a position before and above the take-up mechanisms of the spinning machine at the time of carrying out the doffing and donning operation. The suction nozzle is capable of holding a leading end portion of a yarn delivered from each spinning unit and this leading end portion of the yarn is caught by a fresh bobbin before the bobbin is mounted on a cradle of the take-up mechanism from outside the spinning machine and, then, the bobbin is mounted on the cradle and the take-up operation is commenced. The suction nozzle is capable of being stopped at any position along the passage thereof by manual operation.

  • Patent number: 3973906
Abstract: Cheeses produced by spinning machinery are canistered in a plurality of cylindrical containers in a manner allowing bobbins of the cheeses to be stacked in end-to-end relationship. A cheese transportation vehicle transfers the containers to a processing position where the cheeses therein are processed and handled by at least one container unit.
