Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for computer application analysis are provided. The method for computer application analysis includes monitoring a computer system on which an application to be analyzed is executed and interacted with by a user of the computer system. The monitoring includes: capturing screen data of the application as displayed on a display screen of the computer system including interpreting the screen data using optical character recognition (OCR); and capturing user inputs to the application to input devices of the computer system. The method further includes analyzing the captured screen data and user inputs to generate a summary of the usage of the application.

Abstract: A method and system for monitoring a workstation. The system includes a monitoring system for monitoring activity on a workstation and an analysis module for comparing a monitored activity to specified activities in a work profile. The system may include an alert generator for generating an alert if the monitored activity does not conform to the work profile. The work profile may be a user profile of specified activities allowed to be performed by a user, and/or a transaction profile of a sequence of specified activities to be performed in a transaction by a user. The monitoring system includes an inputs monitor for monitoring inputs by the user into the workstation, a screen monitor which extracts content from a screen display viewed by a user, and a physical presence monitor to determine if a user is at his workstation.

Abstract: A novel and useful system and method for a collaborative correction framework that allows external applications to interface to it in a manner that will serve specific correction goals. The framework is extendable, enabling registration of additional authorized applications to the framework. These additional registered applications are then available to other applications accessing the framework. The collaborative correction system maintains profiles for both corrective tasks and users. When assigning a task to a user the collaborative correction system finds an appropriate match by comparing their respective profiles.

Abstract: A method and system for depositing a negotiable instrument, such as a check, using a cellular phone camera. The customer images the check for deposit by taking a photograph of the check with his cellular phone camera and sends the photograph as a MMS to the customer's bank. The system enables validating image quality, automatically recognizing code line, confirming geographical location of the deposit and verifying a courtesy amount of the check so that the check is deposited into the customer's bank account remotely.

Abstract: A method for manipulating an image, the method includes: capturing image information representative of an image that includes images of textual characters; recognizing the textual characters by applying Optical Character Recognition; identifying the layout of the image; and applying at least one de-identification process on textual characters of interest to provide de-identification process results.

Abstract: A technique is disclosed for the performance of application software “screen layout” testing analysis by designation of “fiduciary blocks” (e.g., words, boxes etc.) to serve as geometrical features for identification of data fields of interest viewed within a graphical user interface (GUI) screen. The set of designated “geometric fiduciary blocks” is then assembled into a “hierarchical structure” to analyze test results involving the data fields contained within each block.

Abstract: A method and system for folder recommendation in a file operation are provided. The method includes: receiving (325) information relating to the file operation; providing history data (321) of one or more previous operations, the data including details of information relating to a previous operation and a folder on which the previous operation was performed; and selecting a folder (324) for recommendation including matching the file operation to one or more folders based on the history data. In one embodiment, the operation is an operation of saving a file, and the information relating to the operation is file information. In another embodiment, the operation is an operation of retrieving a file, and the information relating to the operation is destination information.

Abstract: A method for verifying authenticity of a vehicle, including programming a device to sequentially change a device element to an altered device element according to a change device element algorithm, and attaching the device to the vehicle. The method also includes generating the altered device element, and verifying that the altered device element matches an expected device element generated by the algorithm.

Abstract: An improved automobile. An exemplary automobile includes an engine, a set of wheels connected to the engine, a chassis connected to the engine, and an electrochromatic windshield connected to the chassis. The electrochromatic windshield is operable to darken and un-darken the electrochromatic windshield. A video projection system is also connected to the chassis. The video projection system is operable by a driver to project an overlay image on the electrochromatic windshield. The electrochromatic windshield can be darkened by activation of the video projection system and un-darkened by deactivation of the video projection system. The video projection system can be used to project a map onto the electrochromatic windshield. The video projection system can then be used to project a relative position of the driver's vehicle, other vehicles and obstructions on the map, as well as highlighting and tracking, via graphical markings, these objects as they enter the windshield's projection plane.

Abstract: A method for altering a recognition error correction data structure, the method includes: altering at least one key out of a set of semantically similar keys in response to text appearance probabilities of keys of the set of semantically similar keys to provide an at least one altered key; and replacing the at least one key by the at least one altered key.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a solution for providing conditional reminders for electronic messages. The solution can identify an electronic message conveyed from a sender to a recipient, wherein the electronic message is an email message or text exchange message. A software program can determine a response time and a response condition for the electronic message. When the response time expires and when the response condition is unsatisfied, a software program can present a reminder to the sender and/or the recipient, where the reminder indicates that a response is due. When a software program detects a recipient action that satisfies the response condition before the response time expires, no reminder will be presented to either the sender or the recipient.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a solution of using user provided structure feedback to index electronic documents. In the solution, a search engine can serve search results based on an indexed store of electronic documents to at least user. Structure feedback can be received concerning the search results. The structure feedback can identify at least one structure element of an electronic document and at least one user specified semantic tag for the structure element. The indexed store can be changed to incorporate the structure feedback. The changed index store can be used when subsequently serving search results. The search engine can be a Web search engine and/or a desktop search engine.

Abstract: A system and method for determining the validity of a check, the method including receiving from a payer an image of a check to a payee together with a personal identifier identifying the payer, where the payer is a customer of a financial institution, determining an account to which the check pertains, comparing the received personal identifier with a personal identifier maintained by the financial institution for the account, comparing the payer check image with an image of the check produced after the payee receives the check from the payer, designating the check as valid if the personal identifiers are the same and if the check images match within a predefined tolerance, and designating the check as invalid if the personal identifiers are not the same or if the check images do not match within a predefined tolerance.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to an apparatus for performing query operations. The apparatus comprises a base table having spatial objects, an index table having data entries that are associated with the spatial objects. A module that is adapted to perform the query operation is configured to convert a query window into values, create a scan range for each of the values with a begin range value, an end range value, and a stop condition, scan the data entries for each of the scan range to identify one of the end range value and the stop condition, and return a result based upon the data entries that are within the scan range for each of the values.
