  • Publication number: 20230157762
Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for implementing an intelligent assistance (“IA”) or extended intelligence (“EI”) ecosystem for soft tissue luminal applications. In various embodiments, a computing system analyzes first layer input data (indicating movement, position, and/or relative distance for a person(s) and object(s) in a room) and second layer input data. The second layer input data includes sensor and/or imaging data of a patient. Based on the analysis, the computing system generates one or more recommendations for guiding a medical professional in navigating a surgical device(s) with respect to one or more soft tissue luminal portions of the patient. The recommendation(s) include at least one mapped guide toward, in, and/or around the one or more soft tissue luminal portions. The mapped guide can include data corresponding to at least three dimensions, e.g., a 3D image/video. The computing system can present the recommendation(s) as image-based output, using a user experience device.

  • Publication number: 20230157863
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an intrauterine device (IUD) for contraception that has a desired copper elution rate is described. The method may involve selecting an elongate shape memory member comprising a first metal having a first galvanic potential, selecting at least one attachment member comprising a second metal having a second galvanic potential that is different from the first galvanic potential, attaching the attachment member(s) to the shape memory member, and shaping the shape memory member to form a frame of the intrauterine contraceptive device. The first metal and the second metal are specifically selected as materials for the shape memory member and the attachment member(s), in order to achieve the desired copper elution rate.

  • Publication number: 20230157615
Abstract: Systems and methods for optimal selection of beats for a 3D mapping are disclosed. A method in accordance with the present disclosure may be performed on a processor and may comprise receiving a plurality of beats from a catheter. The catheter may be located at a target mapping site, such as a chamber of the heart. A plurality of dynamic filters may be applied to the plurality of collected beats. The optimal beats may be determined and integrated as a beat in the 3D mapping system. This method enables the selection of more beats for a more comprehensive 3D mapping, as well as the selection of more quality beats that are representative of the target anatomy.

  • Patent number: 11653910
Abstract: A transluminal sheath is advanced transseptally into a left atrium of the subject. A distal end of a surrounding-sheath, having an anchor disposed therein, is advanced via a distal end of the transluminal sheath, into a left ventricle of the subject via a commissure of the mitral valve. While the distal end of the surrounding-sheath is in the left ventricle, the surrounding-sheath is pulled proximally with respect to the anchor to expose the anchor. While the distal end of the surrounding-sheath is in the left ventricle, mitral valve tissue that is within the left ventricle is encircled by helically wrapping the anchor around the mitral valve tissue. Subsequently, the surrounding-sheath is extracted from the heart. Other embodiments are also described.
