    Abstract: An apparatus includes a lock assembly configured to be selectively coupled to a selectively-movable lock member of a mortise-cylinder housing of a mortise cylinder. The lock assembly includes visible symbols configured to be selectively movable. This is done in such a way that the visible symbols, in use, urge the selectively-movable lock member of the mortise-cylinder housing of the mortise cylinder to move from a locked state to an unlocked state.
