  • Publication number: 20240037737
Abstract: A method of modelling an external support for a prospective pulmonary autograft attached to patient's heart using an imaging scanner (8), the method comprising: obtaining (100), using the scanner (8), at least one scan of the vasculature of the heart during systole of the heart; processing (102) each scan using a processor (2) to construct a model of the prospective pulmonary autograft; and processing (104) the model of the prospective pulmonary autograft to generate a model of the external support.

  • Patent number: 8252039
Abstract: A stent is provided for external application to an artery in which an aneurysm has occurred or is about to occur to provide support thereto, the stent being of bespoke character by virtue of its creation to conform morphologically to the actual contour of the artery captured using for example MRI, CAD and RP.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 10, 2009
Date of Patent: August 28, 2012
Inventors: Taliesin John Golesworthy, Micheal Ulrich Lamperth
  • Patent number: 8246673
Abstract: There is provided a support adapted for location exteriorly of a blood vessel, the support being locatable around the blood vessel and shaped to be in morphological relationship with the blood vessel, in which the support is formed from a settable material and the support is capable of being formed into a tube; and a method of morphometric analysis of a patient's blood vessel using an imaging scanner which method has the steps of: (i) obtaining a diametral cross-sectional image of the blood vessel; (ii) obtaining a pseudo-transverse cross-section image of the blood vessel; and (iii) processing the images from steps (i) and (ii) to construct a morphometric model of the blood vessel.
