    Abstract: A method of monitoring a computer system. The method includes determining the temperature at a first location within the computer system and determining the temperature at a second location within the computer system. The method also includes determining the difference between the temperature at the first location and the temperature at the second location. If the difference between the temperature at the first location and the temperature at the second location is greater than a predetermined temperature, then generating a message that interprets the temperature condition. The message may refer to a written document, such as a user manual, that provides a detailed interpretation of the temperatures.
