Publication number: 20250090150Abstract: A carriage assembly is disclosed for quasi-independent, multi-action clamping of multiple surgical components such as a track of a base plate and a ball of an extremity holder. Clamping is achieved via tightening a single handle for adjustably positioning an extremity holder for a body part during a surgical procedure. When the handle assembly is tightened, in a first action, a first tab clamp portion of a tab couples to the carriage body while moving the carriage arm toward the carriage body to thereby clamp a first surgical device. In a second action, the tab pivots about the first tab clamp portion in the Y direction, to thereby clamp a second surgical device in between the second tab clamp portion and the track portion of the first body, to achieve simultaneous, multi-action clamping. The invention solves the problems of sterilizability, wear of surgical equipment, precise holding, and ease of positioning/repositioning.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2024Publication date: March 20, 2025Applicant: Innovative Medical Products, Inc.Inventor: Tamas KOVACS

Patent number: 12201749Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a non-woven hybrid-scale fiber matrix sheet which can be used to improve wound healing. The non-woven hybrid-scale fiber matrix sheet may be both microporous, due to the hybrid-scale fiber matrix, as well as macroporous through the addition of cuts or perforations in the hybrid-scale fiber matrix sheet. The micro and macroporous sheet can improve biological healing at a wound site.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2022Date of Patent: January 21, 2025Assignee: Acera Surgical, Inc.Inventors: Matthew R. Patent number: 12199454Abstract: Designs for a magnetic mounting system that facilitate wireless charging. The magnetic mounting system generally includes an attachment member engaged with a device that interfaces magnetically with a carrier member. The attachment member may comprise a split ring or discontinuous ring comprising arcuate members that allows inductive coupling between a charge transmitting coil and a charge receiving coil to be achieved as the arcuate members do not interfere with the inductive coupling. Specifically, rather than a solid plate in which the RF energy emitted by the charge transmitting coil generates eddy currents in the plate, the arcuate members are substantially transparent to the RF energy such that inductive coupling may be achieved.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2022Date of Patent: January 14, 2025Assignee: Kustom Cycles, Inc.Inventors: Tamás Kovacs, Anthony Velasquez

Patent number: 12150818Abstract: An apparatus for adjustably positioning an extremity or body part such as knees, hands, or feet for a surgical procedure comprising a carriage including a base adapted to engage a track for selective positioning there along, an arm configured to pivotably attach to the base, and a socket formed by the joining of the base and arm, the socket configured to accept a ball of an extremity holder. The apparatus further comprises a clamping assembly and an adjustable cross nut assembly. The adjustable cross nut assembly provides clocking and/or adjustable positioning of an internal thread start to provide optimal positioning of the handle that achieves the clamping effect, as the threads are subject to wear and plastic deformation due to use over time.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2021Date of Patent: November 26, 2024Assignee: Innovative Medical Products, Inc.Inventor: Tamas Kovacs

Publication number: 20240341912Abstract: A clamp with mount for a surgical retractor is disclosed that is adapted to couple one or more surgical retractors to a base plate. The clamp is configured to allow the surgeon to secure, adjust, and/or remove the retractor system with one hand, and without the need for an assistant to perform such manipulation. The clamp for a base plate also holding the body portion of the patient advantageously reduces the complexity and disadvantages of conventional surgical retractor systems by locating the mount for a surgical retractor below the surgical site in a manner that keeps the body portion and OR table as free as possible from associated obstruction by the retractor system.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 17, 2023Publication date: October 17, 2024Applicant: INNOVATIVE MEDICAL PRODUCTS, INC.Inventor: Tamas KOVACS

Publication number: 20240117835Abstract: A retention apparatus, system and method is useful for attaching items, panels or other devices to a rail formed in longitudinal lengths and configured with a cross-sectional profile having multiple cooperating structures between the rail and a channel nut. Self-aligning, mating structures include a recess formed between a tooth and shelf on an interior first channel portion of the rail and a flange of the channel nut with concurrent mating of an anchor latch of the rail and a hook flange on the channel nut. Latching of the channel nut is accomplished initially by compression of the biasing element as the channel nut is inserted and then, upon release, biasing element-induced movement of the channel nut into a latching position. Grounding spikes on the biasing element form electrical contact points between the rail, the clamp and the frame of the solar panel or other device.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Applicant: PMC Industries, Inc.Inventors: Tamas KOVACS, Robert MERCIER
