  • Patent number: 11948153
Abstract: System and method for automatically calling back a customer via a predictive model determines a plurality of call-back metrics for a plurality of advisor records. The predictive model is applied to call-back data to identify customers that are likely to require a series of call-backs, and automatically generates a preferred call-back to such customers to reduce this risk. The automated call-back may follow termination of an identified customer's inbound call, or at some time after completion of a previous call interaction of the identified customer with an advisor. In the predictive model, a first compilation of call-back metrics record is representative of an overall likelihood of call-backs associated with each advisor record, and a second compilation of the plurality of call-back metrics is representative of a likelihood of call-backs for each of the plurality of products of the enterprise associated with the advisor record.

  • Publication number: 20220397731
Abstract: Cables that include a conductor and an optical fiber. In some embodiments, the cable can include an optical fiber loosely disposed within an enclosure. A conductor layer can be disposed about the enclosure. An insulation layer can be disposed about the at least one conductor layer. An inner layer of armor strength members can be helically disposed about the insulation layer. An outer layer of armor strength members can be helically disposed about the inner layer of armor strength members. The armor strength members in the outer layer of armor strength members can be at an opposite helix compared to the armor strength members in the inner layer of armor strength members. An outer jacket can be disposed about the outer layer. In other embodiments, the cable can include an optical fiber in a coupled electro-optical package, where the conductor layer can be disposed about the electro-optical package.

  • Publication number: 20220349262
Abstract: A fiber optic thread assembly configured with a cumulative gap for mechanical responsiveness and protection from micro-bend damage. The assembly may be incorporated into a wireline or slickline cable for obtaining fiber optic readings of enhanced accuracy during an application in a well. The gap is uniquely tailored to allow for a natural reduction during deployment of the cable into the well, thereby providing the enhanced accuracy. However, the gap is also sufficient to help avoid micro-bend damage from the resulting mechanical responsiveness, which is attained upon deployment of the cable into the well.

  • Publication number: 20220161293
Abstract: A system and method of creating a decorative component having multiple surface finishes includes providing a substrate with a metal surface layer and treating the metal surface layer to remove oxidation, and applying a coating or paint layer over at least a portion of the treated metal surface layer. The paint layer is removed via laser ablation to define a metal-paint interface. The metal-paint interface created by laser ablation applied to paint over treated metal is free from adhesion failure. The workpiece created includes multiple surfaces having complex shapes and features, and may be applied to a variety of surfaces. Multiple surface finishes are therefore created on a single part without the need for assembly of separate parts, with a robust interface between contrasting surface appearances.

  • Patent number: 9663384
Abstract: A method for producing high-purity trimanganese tetraoxide from dust containing manganese includes adding sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and a reductant to manganese dust and leaching manganese therefrom; eliminating primary impurities by adding calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2)) to the leached manganese solution acquired from the leaching step; eliminating secondary impurities by adding sulfides to the leached manganese solution from which primary impurities have been eliminated; precipitating manganese by using sodium hydroxide (NaOH) so as to control the pH in the leached manganese solution from which secondary impurities have been eliminated, and cleaning and drying the precipitated specimen; and acquiring high-purity trimanganese tetraoxide by injecting the dried specimen with air and heat-treating same under oxidizing conditions. Thus the present invention allows high-purity trimanganese tetraoxide to be produced from dust containing manganese, for use as material for a secondary battery.

  • Patent number: 9014207
Abstract: A system including a physical layer module and a control module. The physical layer module is configured to generate a first clear channel assessment for a first sub-channel of a communication channel and generate a second clear channel assessment for a second sub-channel of the communication channel. The first clear channel assessment indicates whether the first sub-channel is free or busy. The second clear channel assessment indicates whether the second sub-channel is free or busy. The control module is configured to, in response to the second sub-channel being busy, extend a duration of the second clear channel assessment by a predetermined period of time, and transmit data via (i) only the first sub-channel or (ii) both the first sub-channel and the second sub-channel based on (a) the first clear channel assessment, (b) the second clear channel assessment, and (c) the extended duration of the first clear channel assessment.
