Abstract: A method is provided for producing colored molded bodies based on the following steps: (a) plasticising a polymeric material and blending the material with one or more dyes to form a molding compound by means of a gelation unit equipped with a metering apparatus for dyes; (b) optionally temporarily storing the molding compound obtained in step (a); (c) charging a molding device with the molding compound; and (d) producing the molded body; wherein the ratio of dye to polymeric material is automatically regulated using a colorimeter and an electronic control, and in step (a) color values are measured at the molding compound located in the gelation unit and transmitted as a signal to the electronic control.
