Embodiments are directed to a mechanism for distinguishing advertisements accessed by, actual portable devices and/or emulated portable devices, where the distinguished advertisements may then be used to generate information about portable device advertising. The advertisements may be communicated via any advertising medium accessible to portable devices, systems emulating portable devices, etc. Additionally, access to the advertisements may be controlled by actual usage of devices, or alternatively, by simulated usage of the devices in accordance with determined simulation parameters. Actual device usage may also be gathered and accessed to configure and/or adjust the simulation parameters used in the simulations.

The wireless voice information is scraped from the online bill (e.g., after obtaining permission from a wireless subscriber) and stored in a database for subsequent access, processing and output (e.g., in the form of a presentation, datafeed, as part of an online tool used by a client to access the information, etc.). The processing may include standardizing, cleaning, classifying and applying additional information (e.g., census data comprising demographic information, user-supplied information, etc.) to the voice information to provide further and/or more relevant market analysis.

As such, the relevance of the timing of the interaction is increased. As such, embodiments provide means for intelligently interacting with users of portable devices.
