  • Publication number: 20140291897
Abstract: An electrospinning device for providing a predetermined distance profile for the distance between outlets of the electrospinning device and the receiving surface. The latter may be obtained by geometrically adapting the electrospinning device or by moving the outlets with respect to the receiving surface during growth of the fibrous structure.

  • Publication number: 20110229541
Abstract: A teeth bleaching device (100) for bleaching teeth is described being a dry teeth bleaching device, prior to use. The teeth bleaching device (100) comprises a fibrous, non-hydratable polymer structure (110) and a hydratable solid teeth bleaching agent (120) embedded in the fibrous structure prior to use. Upon use, the solid teeth bleaching agent (120) is dissolved by uptake of moisture or saliva in the fibrous structure (110) and released to the teeth. By selecting a predetermined porosity, density and/or fibre diameter, optionally a predetermined dissolving rate and/or release rate of the teeth bleaching agent may be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20100215939
Abstract: An electrospinning device is described for producing fibrous porous structures. The device is adapted for providing a predetermined distance profile for the distance between outlets of the electrospinning device and the receiving surface. The latter may be obtained by geometrically adapting the electrospinning device or by moving the outlets with respect to the receiving surface during growth of the fibrous structure. A fibrous structure obtained by the described electrospinning device is also described which comprises fibres, wherein the diameter of the fibres has a predetermined profile along a dimension of the electrospun fibrous structure. Furthermore application of the laminated structure for wound dressing and teeth bleaching is discussed.

  • Publication number: 20100112020
Abstract: An electrospinning device is described for producing nanofibrous porous structures. The device comprises three or more neighbouring outlets (11) separated from one another by a distance of at least 4 cm and positioned in a first plane (12). The device also comprises a second surface (13) for receiving output from the outlets. A relative movement between the three or more neighbouring outlets (11) and the second surface (13) can be applied in a first direction and second direction, the second direction being substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The second surface (13) thereby is facing the first plane wherein the outlets are positioned. The device furthermore comprises a voltage source (9) adapted to apply a potential difference between the first surface and the second surface. It furthermore may comprise a recipient for containing a solution or melt to be electrospun from the outlets and comprises a providing means for providing (10) the solution or melt to the outlets.
