  • Patent number: 12350115
Abstract: A clamp with mount for a surgical retractor is disclosed that is adapted to couple one or more surgical retractors to a base plate. The clamp is configured to allow the surgeon to secure, adjust, and/or remove the retractor system with one hand, and without the need for an assistant to perform such manipulation. The clamp for a base plate also holding the body portion of the patient advantageously reduces the complexity and disadvantages of conventional surgical retractor systems by locating the mount for a surgical retractor below the surgical site in a manner that keeps the body portion and OR table as free as possible from associated obstruction by the retractor system.

  • Patent number: 12201749
Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a non-woven hybrid-scale fiber matrix sheet which can be used to improve wound healing. The non-woven hybrid-scale fiber matrix sheet may be both microporous, due to the hybrid-scale fiber matrix, as well as macroporous through the addition of cuts or perforations in the hybrid-scale fiber matrix sheet. The micro and macroporous sheet can improve biological healing at a wound site.

  • Patent number: 12199454
Abstract: Designs for a magnetic mounting system that facilitate wireless charging. The magnetic mounting system generally includes an attachment member engaged with a device that interfaces magnetically with a carrier member. The attachment member may comprise a split ring or discontinuous ring comprising arcuate members that allows inductive coupling between a charge transmitting coil and a charge receiving coil to be achieved as the arcuate members do not interfere with the inductive coupling. Specifically, rather than a solid plate in which the RF energy emitted by the charge transmitting coil generates eddy currents in the plate, the arcuate members are substantially transparent to the RF energy such that inductive coupling may be achieved.

  • Patent number: 12150818
Abstract: An apparatus for adjustably positioning an extremity or body part such as knees, hands, or feet for a surgical procedure comprising a carriage including a base adapted to engage a track for selective positioning there along, an arm configured to pivotably attach to the base, and a socket formed by the joining of the base and arm, the socket configured to accept a ball of an extremity holder. The apparatus further comprises a clamping assembly and an adjustable cross nut assembly. The adjustable cross nut assembly provides clocking and/or adjustable positioning of an internal thread start to provide optimal positioning of the handle that achieves the clamping effect, as the threads are subject to wear and plastic deformation due to use over time.

  • Publication number: 20240342037
Abstract: Patient positioners as well as methods for using patient positioners are disclosed. An example patient positioner may include a thoracic support assembly having one or more thoracic attachment members for securing the thoracic support member to a rail. The thoracic support assembly may have a thoracic adjustment mechanism configured to shift the thoracic support assembly relative to the one or more thoracic attachment members. A lumbar support assembly may be disposed adjacent to the thoracic support assembly. The lumbar support assembly may include one or more lumbar attachment members for securing the lumbar support assembly to the rail. The lumbar support assembly may include a lumbar adjustment mechanism configured to shift the lumbar support assembly relative to the one or more lumbar attachment members. A bolster may be coupled to at least one of the thoracic support assembly and the lumbar support assembly.

  • Patent number: 11957628
Abstract: A clamping device configured to secure a strap to a rail of a support table or operating table is provided, which prevents the patient from slipping, provides optimal patient stability when the table is placed in angle positions, and eliminates patient re-positioning during surgical procedure. The clamping device includes a body portion having a plurality of rail arms that form a rail channel, the clamping device including a pivot jaw assembly with jaw rail flange portions coupled to sides of the body portion. The pivot jaw is hingedly operated between an open and closed position. The rail arms further include a strap channel configured to hold a strap disposed around the side rail, and to secure the strap to the rail using a clamp bar via force exerted on rail and jaw flange portions of the clamp assembly, to effectively clamp the strap to the table.

  • Patent number: 11717459
Abstract: A multi-directional, equalizer clamp device is disclosed that provides, via a single action, a way to lock multiple objects that may be disposed in different numerous directions. The clamp may also achieve clamping using numerous force factors, and may be configured to attach and secure objects, such as pins, to the side rail of a support and/or operating table via a single-point of operation. The clamp device comprises upper and lower body portions which are configured to clamp to a side rail along a primary clamping direction, and are further configured to receive objects and clamp them along a secondary clamping direction. The clamp device further comprises a control assembly, such as a knob, to facilitate and achieve simultaneous clamping along both primary and secondary clamping directions at a single point of control.
