  • Publication number: 20230285924
Abstract: A honeycomb substrate holder for holding a honeycomb substrate, the honeycomb substrate holder comprising: an elastically deformable cylindrical inner circumferential wall; a cylindrical outer circumferential wall located outside the cylindrical inner circumferential wall with a cylindrical gap from the cylindrical inner circumferential wall; and two end faces sealing the cylindrical gap together with the cylindrical inner circumferential wall and the cylindrical outer circumferential wall, A honeycomb substrate can be inserted on the axial side of the cylindrical inner circumferential wall. Fluid can be circulated or held in the cylindrical gap. The cylindrical inner circumferential wall can be elastically deformed and pressed against an outer circumferential surface of the honeycomb substrate by pressurizing the fluid in the cylindrical gap.

  • Patent number: 7678416
Abstract: In a method of coating a substrate, inner walls of flow channels of the substrate are coated with a slurry. A plurality of flow channels each opened at both end faces are formed in the substrate. The method includes a step of storing a predetermined amount of slurry in a slurry container in which the end of the substrate, where the flow channels of the substrate are opened, can be inserted under pressure into the slurry container. A step of inserting the substrate with the end of the substrate being downward in the slurry container and dipping the substrate under pressure to the slurry liquid surface, and a step of extending the slurry along the inner wall of the flow channels by blow-opening the respective flow channels in a state of up-turning the slurry container together with the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20070128354
Abstract: A method of coating a catalyst substrate by coating a plurality of flow channels of the substrate with a slurry uniformly and reliably to improve the catalyst quality the method comprising a step of storing a predetermined amount of slurry in a slurry container to which the end of the substrate where the flow channels are opened can be inserted under pressure, a step of press-inserting the substrate with the end of the substrate being downward into the slurry container and dipping the same to the slurry surface, and a step of extending the slurry along the inner wall of the flow channels by blow-opening the respective flow channels in a state of upturning the slurry container.

  • Patent number: 6813077
Abstract: A method for fabricating an integrated optical isolator includes depositing a wire grid material on a magneto-optical substrate and depositing a resist film on the wire grid material. The method further includes bringing a mold with a wire grid pattern on contact with the resist film and compressing the mold and resist film together so as to emboss the wire grid pattern in the resist film. The method further includes transferring the wire grid pattern in the resist film to the wire grid material on the magneto-optical substrate by etching.
