    Abstract: The present invention relates to a polyester and cotton blended yarn capable of obtaining a polyester and cotton blended fabric having a superior bulkiness and a soft touch, and a polyester staple fiber stock which is useful to obtain the blended yarn as a yarn having superior properties with regard to neps and a yarn uneveness. To obtain the above-mentioned polyester cotton blended yarn, a coarse denier staple fiber having a predetermined range of fineness and a fine denier staple fiber having a predetermined range of fineness are used, and a suitable number of staple fibers constituting the blended yarn and fiber lengths of the staple fibers are defined in the present invention.

    Abstract: An anti-fungus, deodorant fiber material comprises synthetic polymer fibers, a deodorant material in an amount of 8% by weight or more and consisting of an ethylene-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer, and an anti-fungus material in an amount of 1% by weight or more and consisting of fine copper particles preferably having a size of 50 mesh or smaller, and the deodorant material and the anti-fungus material are contained together in the synthetic fibers or the deodorant material is contained in one type of synthetic fibers and the anti-fungus material is separately contained in another type of synthetic fibers.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a flameproofing synthetic fiber comprising a halogenated cycloalkane and at least one member selected from phosphorus compounds represented by the following general formulae (I) through (IV): ##STR1## According to the present invention, the flameproofing synthetic fiber which is excellent in flameproofing property and feeling and significantly improved in spinning property and corrosion protective property can be provided. Furthermore, the foaming during operation and the passing processability through a stuffing crimper are also extremely improved.
