Abstract: Examples of a dental orthotic guard and protection device are disclosed. The device is re-usable and can be used by users with or without braces. The protection device comprises a body shaped to correspond to user's dental arch and an aerating trough formed in the body such that it rises upward from its surface. The aerating trough has a plurality of openings to allow fluid circulating in and out through the trough to prevent fluids accumulating on a surface of the protector and provide free air flow. The dental orthotic can further comprises a U-shaped guard with top and bottom surfaces that are substantially flat such that the guard sits flat on top of user's teeth to provide fluid flowing between the user teeth and the guard. The dental protector and guard can be connected as a single piece for use as dental orthotic device in small children.
