Abstract: An anti-shock batting glove adapted to receive a thumb and forefingers of a hand, including: a dorsal side for covering a dorsal side of the hand, and a palmar side for covering a palm of a hand. The palmar side comprises a plurality of detached finger pads adapted to limit shock to a batter's hand encountered during batting. The plurality of detached finger pads comprise a palm pad configured to cover a lower portion of a palm of the hand, a first finger pad configured to cover a metacarpal of a pinky finger, a second finger pad configured to cover a metacarpal and a phalange of a ring finger, a third finger pad configured to cover a metacarpal, a proximal phalange, and an intermediate phalange of a middle finger, and a fourth finger pad configured to cover an area between a thumb and an index finger. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and discussed.

Abstract: A ball catching tool comprises an outer leather member, an inner leather member and an elastic member. The outer leather member is formed by sewing a leather palm and a leather back to each other. The inner leather member, inserted into the outer leather member, is formed by sewing a palm member located on the side of the leather palm and a back member located on the side of the leather back to each other and provided with a plurality of stalls including a thumb stall receiving the thumb of the user. The elastic member is fixed to the back member partially forming the thumb stall to extend along the back member from one end of the thumb stall toward the other end of the thumb stall in the width direction of the thumb stall for fixing the thumb of the user in the thumb stall.

Abstract: The inventive glove comprises a thumb holder (11), an index finger holder (12), a palm portion (14) and a back portion (15). A protective member (2) is mounted on a base portion (13) between the thumb holder (11) and the index finger holder (12). The protective member (2) includes a bent portion (21) extending from the base portion (13) toward the palm portion (14) and bent along the base portion (13) and a flat portion (22) extending from the base portion (13) toward the back portion (15), and has a substantially L-shaped section.
