  • Patent number: 5673150
Abstract: Anti-glare EC mirror comprises a transparent glass substrate with ITO film, IrO.sub.x film, SnO.sub.2 film, Ta.sub.2 O.sub.5 film, WO.sub.3 film and Al film in the order written. Because of this layer arrangement, SnO.sub.2 film insures an ample supply of water during the aging of IrO.sub.x film, thereby allowing the aging operation to be completed within a short period of time.

  • Patent number: 5217252
Abstract: An actuator for use in an air bag device which is inflated by a gas as a firing pin is moved by the movement of an inertia member to actuate a gas generator and in a preloader of a webbing retractor actuated by the gas. A contact is provided for outputting an electrical signal by being turned on at the time of movement of the inertia member or movement of the firing pin. Accordingly, by providing another gas generating means adapted to be actuated in correspondence with an output of this contact, it is possible to actuate a plurality of air bag devices or preloaders.

  • Patent number: 4548625
Abstract: An exhaust particle cleaning device for a diesel engine includes a trap case provided in a flow conduit for the exhaust gas. A filter is disposed in the trap case so that carbon particles or other exhaust particles contained in the exhaust gas can be caught in the filter material when the exhaust gas is passed through the filter. A plurality of electric heating wires are spread over the upstream end face of the filter so that the exhaust gas passes through the areas defined between the plurality of heating wires. These heating wires are supported by insulator arms so as to maintain a predetermined small gap between the heating wires and the upstream end face of the filter.

  • Patent number: 4305848
Abstract: This application is directed to a method of manufacturing high conductive sinters of a conductive lanthanum, chromium composite oxide material in which the specific resistance is extremely reduced with a rise in temperature, and whereby an extremely superior sinter can be provided as a heat resisting conductive material. The method of manufacturing sinters in accordance with the present invention is free from the conventional disadvantages of manufacturing sinters with conductive composite oxides of La and Cr as major components, which serves to improve the sintering properties and qualities of the product. The sinters can be easily manufactured at a temperature as low as approximately 1,500.degree. C., which is lower than temperatures previously used.

  • Patent number: 4302659
Abstract: A ceramic heater-element to be incorporated into a plug to be pressed into a socket provided on a front inner car-body, thereby providing a cigarette-lighter, which comprises an annular shaped heater-portion having a radially extending gap thereby providing two opposing end-portions, and a pair of electrode-portions, each being extended substantially downwardly from each of the two end-portions while being in a parallel relationship with a center axis of the heater-portion, wherein respective cross-sectional dimensions through which the electric current flows are so arranged that the cross-sectional area of the heater-portion is relatively smaller than either of the cross-sectional areas of the electrode-portions.
