  • Patent number: 4833181
Abstract: A polyolefin composition comprising (a) polyolefin, (b) vegetable fibers mainly composed of cellulose fibers, and (c) a deodorizer selected from the group consisting of a combination of a metallic soap and an amine antioxidant, activated carbon, zeolite and a phosphorus compound. Because of the deodorizer, the polyolefin composition has substantially no odor without sacrificing mechanical properties thereof. Accordingly, it may be used suitably for car parts required to have high mechanical strength with substantially no odor, such as unit cases of air conditioners.

  • Patent number: 4717743
Abstract: A polyolefin-base resin composition comprising a vegetable fibrous material in fiber form containing cellulose as major constituent and a high flow rate polyolefin-base resin having a melt index of 20 to 100. By using this resin it has become possible to improve the poor processability of a conventional polyolefin-base resin composition incorporated with a vegetable fibrous material in fiber form containing cellulose as major constituent. The invention makes it possible to produce an article of large size and small wall thickness by injection molding while desirable mechanical characteristics being retained.

  • Patent number: 4711806
Abstract: A plastic part mainly composed of polyamide resin, which stands against enviromental stress cracking in deicing salts. It is composed of one selected from the group consisting of a polyamide resin which has a saturation water absorbability of less than 6.0% and a mixture mainly composed of a polyamide resin and having a saturation water absorbability less than 6.0%.Such plastic part of the present invention have very little cracks, and have a excellent strength and thermal resistances.

  • Patent number: 4582763
Abstract: A plastic part composed primarily of a polyamide resin such as 6-nylon blended with another mutually-soluble resin, the part capable of withstanding environmental stress cracking caused by deicing salts containing calcium chloride. The resin blend has a saturation water absorbability of less than 6.0%. Under use conditions, such plastic parts, typically in the form of radiator parts, water separators and the like, have very few cracks and have an excellent strength and thermal resistance.
