The panel includes a pixel including a pixel memory and a first circuit which is controlled by a polarity control signal and supplies a polarity signal to the pixel. The panel includes a first mode and a second mode. The first mode displays video using a video signal continuously supplied from the controller. The second mode displays video using a video signal recorded in a pixel memory. The controller includes a second circuit and a microcomputer. The second circuit outputs the video signal. The microcomputer controls the second circuit. In the first mode, the second circuit outputs the polarity control signal. In the second mode, the microcomputer outputs the polarity control signal.
