Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier, a cleaning unit, a development device, and a control unit. The development device includes a toner collection mechanism having a developer carrier and a filter. The control unit is capable of executing a scattered toner recovery mode at non-image forming time, in which the filter is vibrated, a potential difference is generated in the direction for the toner to move from the developer carrier to the image carrier, the developer carrier is rotated in a reverse direction to that at image forming time, and the image carrier is rotated in the same direction as that at the image forming time, so that scattered toner, which has dropped from the filter and adhered to the developer carrier, is recovered by the cleaning unit via the image carrier.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a development device, and a control unit that controls the development device. The development device includes a toner collection mechanism having a duct, a filter, and an exhaust fan. The duct is connected to a conveyance chamber of the development container and allows air in the conveyance chamber to flow through. The filter is disposed at a connecting part between the duct and the conveyance chamber, and collects toner flowing into the duct from the conveyance chamber. The exhaust fan makes the air in the conveyance chamber flow to the outside via the duct. The control unit changes rotational frequency or operation frequency of the exhaust fan based on current detected by a current detection unit at non-image forming time.

Abstract: A coated antacid comprising sucralfate and an antacid inhibits decline in the adhesion characteristics of sucralfate whereby the drug ingested can reliably show its effect in the stomach. This coated antacid not only shows the mucosa repairing effect of sucralfate itself, but also shows the antacid effect and the gastric mucosa protective effect of the coated antacid, thereby synergistically producing an excellent antiulcer effect and an excellent ulcer inhibiting/healing effect.

Abstract: A compound of the following general formula or a salt thereof ##STR1## (where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 which may be the same or different are each an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 which may be the same or different are each a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; m and n which may be the same or different are each an integer of 1 to 7; provided that R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are not a hydrogen atom at the same time), and a process of preparing the same are disclosed.The compound is useful in the treatment of arrythmias because it exhibits desirably strong effects for treating arrythmias and minimum undesirable side effects.

Abstract: An anti-peptic ulcer agent which contains as an active ingredient aminobenzoic acid compounds of the formula ##STR1## (wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 which may be the same or different represent a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, lower alkyl group or lower alkoxy group but they do not represent a hydrogen atom at the same time) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and a method of preventing or treating a human in need of said prevention or treatment an effective amount of said active ingredient are disclosed.

The compounds of the formula above have bronchodilating action and are useful as a medicine.

Abstract: Novel pyrazoloindazole derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxyl group or benzyloxyl group; R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group or phenyl group (provided R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are not hydrogen at the same time); and X.sup..crclbar. is a halide ion, a hydroxide ion, a methanesulfonate ion, a p-toluene sulfonate ion, a sulfate ion, a nitrate ion, a carbonate ion, an acetate ion, a benzoate ion or a salicylate ion, a process for preparing the derivatives, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same are disclosed. The derivatives have good bronchodilating action for human without exhibiting substantially bad effects on the functioning of heart, and therefore, they are useful as a drug.

Abstract: Dibenz[b,f][1,4]oxazepine derivatives of the formula ##STR1## (wherein R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; R.sub.2 is a branched lower alkyl group; R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom, a carboxyl group, a carbamoyl group, a lower alkoxycarbonyl group, or a lower alkoxy group; R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are each a lower alkyl group or may, when taken together with a nitrogen atom, form a heterocyclic ring; and A is a lower alkylene group) or salts thereof, a process for preparing the same and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the same are disclosed. The derivatives of the formula above are effective to prevent and treat circulatory diseases, especially angina pectoris, and therefore, useful as medicines.

Abstract: Novel compound, 1,2-bis(nicotinamido)propane and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, a process for preparing the same and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same as an active ingredient are disclosed.The compound acts to prevent or spasmolyse cerebral vasospasms, to prevent cerebral apoplexy and to lower the lipoperoxide level in blood.

Abstract: 1,4,5,6-Tetrahydronicotinamide derivative represented by the formula: ##STR1## (wherein R is defined in the specification), a process of preparing the same and pharmaceutical composition containing the same are disclosed.The compound has action for suppressing aggregation of platelets, and antiinflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic actions.
