  • Patent number: 4642433
Abstract: A pushbutton switch for use in a keyboard incorporated in an electronic typewriter, work processor, or the like gives a tactile feel to the finger of the operator corresponding to a clicking operation and, at the same time, produces a clicking sound. The switch comprises a casing, a switching device in the casing, a stem, and a leaf spring. This spring has an upright portion and a bent portion. The leaf spring is so mounted in the casing that when the stem is depressed, the bent portion is reciprocated. This causes the upright portion to collide with the inner surface of one side wall of the casing, thus producing a clicking sound.

  • Patent number: 4531032
Abstract: A locking type pushbutton switch has a lock pin comprised of a pin part and mounting part. The mounting part may move towards and away from the stem of the pushbutton device and may rotate in a plane parallel therewith. The mounting part is further provided with a spherical surface which is held resiliently in contact with a supporting wall found on the case, and the pin is also held resiliently in contact with the heart-shaped cam groove by the spring.

  • Patent number: 4514608
Abstract: A locking type pushbutton switch has a lock pin adapted to engage with a heart-shaped cam groove and comprised of a pin part and a mounting part. Portions of the mounting part adjacent the pin part are cut away to enable the pin part to be made longer. Therefore the pin part has sufficient flexibility, resulting in smooth operation of the lock pin. Moreover, the lock pin is held by the upper and lower cases, and the supporting plate and spring plate normally provided are no longer necessary.

  • Patent number: 4153829
Abstract: A pushbutton switch is disclosed which comprises a housing and a contact unit contained in the housing. The contact unit includes a fixed contact member, a movable contact member disposed in parallel, spaced relation with the fixed contact member, an insulating member interposed between the fixed and movable contact members and formed with an opening. The movable contact member has a snap-action disc portion preformed so as to bow at its center away from the fixed contact member so that when the disc portion is pushed it is snapped to project through the opening of the insulating member into contact with the fixed contact member. The contact unit also includes a resilient member disposed adjacent the movable contact member and having a projection extending toward the center of the disc portion for pushing the disc portion. A spring member is provided to have a zigzagged portion for pushing the resilient member toward the movable contact member.

  • Patent number: 4146767
Abstract: A push-button switch comprises a push button, a snap-action spring disc, a contact case formed with a recess for containing therein the snap-action spring disc, a common fixed terminal, and two fixed terminals arranged symmetrically in the position lower than that of the common fixed terminal. The contact case is molded with the three fixed terminals integrally incorporated in the contact case such that the respective contact portions of the three fixed terminals are exposed within the recess thereof.

  • Patent number: 4129763
Abstract: A pushbutton switch is described which comprises a movable contact member having a snap-action disc portion bowing at its center away from said base plate and provided at its center with a movable contact and at its periphery with one or more movable contacts, and a base plate having fixed contacts located in the positions corresponding to the movable contacts. When the pushbutton is depressed to push the movable contact member toward the base plate, the movable contacts located at the periphery first come into contact with the respective fixed contacts and then the disc portion snaps or turns over toward the base plate so as to bring the movable contact located at the center into contact with the fixed contact on the base plate.

  • Patent number: 4123641
Abstract: A pushbutton switch is disclosed which includes a pushbutton formed of a synthetic resin to have a recess, and a lever having an attachment portion for fitting into the recess. The lever is formed of a synthetic resin relatively harder than the material of the pushbutton and relatively small in creep contraction rate. The attachment portion has projections thrusting into the wall of the recess so as to prevent the lever from coming out of the recess.
