    Abstract: A process for reducing the corrosiveness of aerated aqueous solutions, which comprises stripping the oxygen with gas containing hydrogen sulfide after addition of a composition which is both catalytic of the reduction of oxygen by hydrogen sulfide gas and inhibiting of hydrogen sulfide corrosion, such composition comprising certain metallic salts and a water-soluble oxyethylenated amine.
