  • Patent number: 9867788
Abstract: A multi-chamber injection and treatment system includes a first chamber, a second chamber, a mixing element, and a needle portion. The first chamber is generally adapted to receive and advance various cells, while the second chamber is adapted to receive and advance adipose tissue, and can blend or reduce the size of the adipose tissue. The mixing element combines the constituents of the chambers and is in communication with the needle portion for driving the cellular mixture into a target tissue site, such as the mid-corpora of the male penis.

  • Patent number: 9827375
Abstract: The invention relates generally to methods and systems for the treatment of pelvic tissues using a high pressure injection device to deliver a therapeutic composition that includes a large molecule therapeutic agent, such as a nucleic acid or a polypeptide, to a target tissue in the pelvic area. Methods of the invention can improve delivery of the therapeutic agent into the tissue, which can be beneficial for the treatment of a pelvic tissue disorder, such as bladder and prostate tumors.

  • Publication number: 20150283324
Abstract: The invention is directed to cell delivery devices for providing a cell composition to a tissue or organ in the pelvic area for the treatment of a pelvic disorder. In some arrangements, the device has a cell delivery conduit that includes a turbulence-inducing feature that introduces sheer forces in the flow of liquid composition through the conduit, resulting in reduced cell clumping and improved single state cell delivery to the target tissue. In other arrangements, the device has a microfluidics channel which provides a similar effect for cell delivery. The resulting cell delivery can provide improved seeding of cells at the target tissue or organ and an improved therapeutic effect.

  • Publication number: 20110008299
Abstract: A method for treating a pelvic floor disease comprises removing adipose tissue from a patient, processing a first portion of the adipose tissue to obtain a heterogeneous mixture of cells that includes adipose-derived stem cells, combining the heterogeneous mixture of cells with a second, unprocessed portion of the adipose tissue in a ratio of from approximately 1:1 to 1:4 to produce a cell composition, wherein the second portion of the adipose tissue is structured to provide a natural scaffold, and administering the cell composition to the patient to treat a pelvic floor disease.
