Abstract: A system, apparatus, and methods are provided for managing on-demand profiling of one or more instances of a software application executing on a plurality of machines within one or more data centers. During operation, the system executes the one or more instances of the software application on the plurality of machines. Next, the system publishes, to a command channel, a command message that comprises a profiling request, wherein the profiling request specifies a subset of the machines. The system then receives, via a data channel, one or more data messages from the subset of the machines, wherein the data messages comprise data gathered by the subset of the machines in response to receiving the command message. Next, the system then evaluates the performance of the software application by aggregating and processing the data messages. Responsive to detecting an anomaly in the performance, the system then executes one or more remedies.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for receiving D2D discovery information and an apparatus. The method for receiving D2D discovery information includes: sending, by an upper layer of a radio resource control RRC layer of a D2D communication device, a first instruction to a physical layer of the D2D communication device, where the first instruction is used to instruct the physical layer to switch from a D2D sleep state to a D2D listening state; and receiving, by the physical layer of the D2D communication device, the first instruction and switching from the D2D sleep state to the D2D listening state according to the first instruction, to listen to D2D discovery information. This reduces power consumption of the D2D communication device and prolongs a standby time of the D2D communication device.

The method can include the communication device monitoring a status of a transmit queue for packets to be sent over a network; detecting a queue condition indicative of congestion causing a delay in sending one or more ACK packets pending in the transmit queue; and discarding a set of one or more ACK packets from the transmit queue in response to the queue condition. The discarded set of one or more ACK packets can include one or more oldest ACK packets of the ACK packets pending in the transmit queue. A most recent ACK packet pending in the transmit queue can remain pending in the transmit queue after the set of one or more ACK packets has been discarded.

The data compression method includes: acquiring image information of a display panel and obtaining an original DeMura Table; performing region extraction based on the original DeMura Table; performing edge detection based on the Mura region obtained from extraction; distributing each sub-pixel element included in the display panel as per results from the region extraction and the edge detection to determine a numerical value of each sampling point in the DeMura Table. The method may save storage costs of DeMura Table.
