    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for continuously producing polyaluminum chloride from aluminum slag, comprising: blending the aluminum slag with water into a slurry in a mixing tank; pumping the slurry and a sodium hydroxide solution into a first mixing reactor; introducing the mixture obtained in the first mixing reactor into a second mixing reactor and pumping hydrochloric acid into the second mixing reactor; and filtering the resulting mixture and allowing filtrate for ripening, polymerization and sedimentation to obtain liquid polyaluminum chloride; wherein each of the reactors is pipeline-shaped, arranged horizontally and provided with a spiral conveyor shaft inside which is arranged horizontally and configured to stir and convey the mixture in a pipeline. This method realizes a continuous treatment of aluminum slag together with a continuous recovery of ammonia nitrogen and produces PAC, thereby achieving resourceful utilization and improved operability.

The method comprises obtaining a sensed temperature from a sensor, the sensor being in a mounted mode where the sensor is thermally radiated by a variable heat source and a fixed heat source; determining a temperature change rate of the sensor and at least one affecting factor that affects temperature sensing of the sensor; and determining a temperature of the variable heat source based on the sensed temperature, the temperature change rate, and the affecting factor. According to the method of the present disclosure, the temperature of the variable heat source such as an ambient temperature can be obtained or determined without a dedicated sensor and cables. With this method, the ambient temperature can be determined by a sensor for sensing a temperature of a heating element such as a battery, a control unit or the like.

    Abstract: Region proposal is described for image regions that include objects of interest. Feature maps from multiple layers of a convolutional neural network model are used. In one example a digital image is received and buffered. Layers of convolution are performed on the image to generate feature maps. The feature maps are reshaped to a single size. The reshaped feature maps are grouped by sequential concatenation to form a combined feature map. Region proposals are generated using the combined feature map by scoring bounding box regions of the image. Objects are detected and classified objects in the proposed regions using the feature maps.

A method includes performing a plurality of layers of convolutions and reverse connections on a received image to generate a plurality of feature maps, determining an objectness confidence for candidate bounding boxes based on outputs of an objectness prior, determining a joint loss function for each candidate bounding box by combining an objectness loss, a bounding box regression loss and a classification loss, calculating network gradients over positive boxes and negative boxes, updating network parameters within candidate bounding boxes using the joint loss function, repeating performing the convolutions through to updating network parameters until the training converges, and outputting network parameters for object detection based on the training images.
