    Abstract: The disclosure describes a method for performing a fixed point calculation of a floating point operation (A // B) in a coding device, wherein A // B represents integer division of A divided by B rounded to a nearest integer. The method may comprise selecting an entry from a lookup table (LUT) having entries generated as an inverse function of an index B, wherein B defines a range of values that includes every DC scalar value and every quantization parameter associated with a coding standard, and calculating A // B for coding according to the coding standard based on values A, B1 and B2, wherein B1 and B2 comprise high and low portions of the selected entry of the LUT. The techniques may simplify digital signal processor (DSP) implementations of video coders, and are specifically useful for MPEG-4 coders and possibly others.

    Abstract: Form controls can be reused so that the control can be bound to large volumes of data without adverse performance issues because of a large number of controls. A maximum number of rows of data N that can appear in a form are calculated. A container in memory is created for N+2 rows. The additional two rows are used to store the row after the last displayed row and the row previous to the first displayed row. In response to a user scroll or tab operation, rows within the container are reused. Child controls are hosted by the control and are also reused when the data is scrolled out of view.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a piezoelectric ceramic material of a quarternary system, formulated on the basis of ternary system materials (PCM and PMN). Said quarternary system piezoelectric ceramic material consists of lead niobate with Mg (Pb (Mg.sub.1/3 Nb.sub.2/3)O.sub.3, lead niobate with Mn (Pb(Mn.sub.1/3 Nb.sub.2/3)O.sub.3), lead zirconate (PbZrO3) and lead titanate (PbTiO3), and possesses excellent properties for large power output purposes, and is suitable for making piezoelectric transformers of large power output. A single piece piezoelectric transformer (dimensions 100.times.25.times.36 mm3) using the material of the present invention is found to have a maximum output power of 50 W. The material according to this invention has a simple preparing process, a wider and lower sintering temperature range, is fine and compact in ceramic structure, and has a high rate of success of finished products.
