  • Publication number: 20150339963
Abstract: A low side driver includes a first transistor coupled in series with a second transistor at a low side voltage node for a load. A capacitance is configured to store a voltage and a voltage buffer circuit has an input coupled to receive the voltage stored by the capacitance and an output coupled to drive a control node of the second transistor with the stored voltage. A current source supplies current through a switch to the capacitance and the input of the voltage buffer circuit. The switch is configured to be actuated by an oscillating enable signal so as to cyclically source current from the current source to the capacitance and cause a stepped increase in the stored voltage which is applied by the buffer circuit to the control node of the second transistor.

  • Patent number: 9122745
Abstract: A natural language specification of at least one high level information technology services requirement is obtained from a user, via a conversational interface; the same is parsed into first pre-defined semi-structured data, using a conversation parser. Based on the first pre-defined semi-structured data, a subset of candidate information technology services is identified, with a dialog engine, from a plurality of candidate information technology services provided by a plurality of vendors, the dialog engine is used to formulate a response including second pre-defined semi-structured data. The response is reverse-parsed into a natural language response, using the conversation parser. The natural language response includes a question for the user to assist in further refining the subset of candidate information technology services; the natural language response is presented to the user via the conversational interface.

  • Publication number: 20150207111
Abstract: A lithium ion battery having desirable safety performance includes a positive plate having a positive film, a negative plate having a negative film, a separator between the positive plate and the negative plate, and electrolyte. The positive film is provided with a first recess and a positive lead is soldered in the first recess. The negative film is provided with a second recess and a negative lead is soldered in the second recess. Upper and lower surfaces of the positive lead each is formed with a first insulating glue layer. Surface of the positive film corresponding to the second recess is pasted with a second insulating glue layer. Due to the arrangement of the first insulating glue layer and the second insulating glue layer, occurrence of internal short circuit and lithium precipitation in the lithium ion battery is remarkably reduced, and safety performance of the lithium ion battery is improved remarkably in the premise of desirable energy density.

  • Publication number: 20150143221
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for using a hands free computing device. The device includes a processor, a head movement measuring component, screen, camera, microphone, and memory. Responsive to sensing an instruction by a user, an image is captured by the camera and displayed on the screen. There is recorded, using the microphone, an audible catch phrase provided by the user for the image. The audible catch phrase is converted to text that is superimposed on the image thereby making a fused image. The user identifies one or more remote recipients of the fused image by making one or more predetermined head movements to select from among recipient candidates. The fused image is communicated, with the text phrase formatted for scrambled display, to the one or more remote recipients. The fused image is displayed on remote devices associated with such recipients with the text phrase scrambled.

  • Patent number: 8907705
Abstract: A fully integrated ramp generator circuit includes a first current generator that sources current to first capacitor through a first transistor that is gate controlled by the complement of a periodic signal. The ramping voltage stored on the first capacitor is buffered to an output node as a ramp output signal. A second transistor couples the output node to the first current generator and is gate controlled by the periodic signal. The periodic signal is generated at the output of a flip-flop that receives an input clock signal and reset signal. The reset signal is generated by a comparator circuit operable to compare the voltage on a second capacitor to a reference. The second capacitor is charged by a second current source and discharged by a third transistor that is gate controlled by the periodic signal.

  • Patent number: 8904063
Abstract: An improved technique for handling events in a multipathing driver employs an event queue and a queue manager that run in the kernel of a computing system. The queue manager receives events raised by the multipathing driver, as well as events raised by software constructs, such as application programs. Records of events are added to the event queue in the order the queue manager receives them. Event records may be consumed chronologically by external software. Preferably, the event queue is sufficiently large to store all events arising out of most predicted fault scenarios. Also, the queue manager is sophisticated and can perform certain diagnostic and analysis tasks without the aid of external software.
