Abstract: A method and apparatus for allowing a user to access the internet from a remote location by using a local internet service provider with whom the user does not have an account. The user logs on to the local internet service provider's system using an identifier that includes the user's identification term and an identifier for the user's home internet service provider server. A first server in the local internet service provider's system determines that the login information includes the identifier for the user's home internet service provider server and sends a query to a second server. The second server verifies that the user's home internet service provider has an account with the local internet service provider and returns an internet protocol address for the home internet service provider's server to the first server. The first server then seeks authorization from the home internet service provider's server to provide internet access to the user over the local internet service provider's system.

Abstract: A threaded fastener including a nut and a bolt with the nut including a ring section and a nut section with the nut section having a main body portion and a neck portion with the neck portion adapted to be moved into the ring section and to be moved radially inwardly such that the threads in the neck portion are moved into compressive engagement with the engaged threads of the bolt to provide prevailing torque structure resisting loosening of the nut member from the bolt.

Abstract: This invention provides a heterogeneous bimetallic palladium-gold catalyst for vinyl acetate production from ethylene, acetic acid and oxygen. An invention catalyst is prepared by forming a first shell dispersion coating of colloidal palladium on the catalyst support surface, and super-imposing a second shell dispersion coating of colloidal gold metal on the catalyst support surface. An organometallic gold compound is employed to apply the gold dispersion on the catalyst support surface. The organometallic gold compound does not require a fixing procedure, which normally is the cause of low gold metal retention. A preferred invention palladium-gold catalyst has a high gold metal retention, and exhibits durability and long term selectivity in vinyl acetate production.

Abstract: A primary electrochemical cell having an oxidizable active anode material, a cathode current collector, and an electrolytic solution comprising a liquid cathode material and an electrolyte solute dissolved therein. The cathode current collector includes a polymer selected from the group consisting of polyenes, polyphenylenes, polyheterocyclics, mixtures thereof, copolymers thereof, and cross linked polymers thereof.
