Abstract: Methods and systems for assessing the quality of an item listing are described. In an example embodiment, a listing quality score for an item listing is derived as a weighted sum of first and second parts. The first part represents a predicted score based on a comparison of item attributes for the item listing that are known at listing time, with item attributes of similar item listings that have historical data available for assessing their actual performance. The second part is based on one or more observed demand metrics representing actual historical performance of the item listing. The weighting factor is derived, such that over time, the emphasis shifts from the predicted to the observed score.

Abstract: A system and method for assessing excessive accessory listings in search results includes a processor-implemented textual mining module that parses a data field of a document and generates at least one token from the data field. A processor-implemented scoring module calculates a score for the at least one token, with the at least one token score representing a likelihood that the at least one token belongs to one of two binary classifications. The processor-implemented scoring module also calculates a score for the document based on the at least one token score, with the document score representing a probability of the document being in one of the two binary classifications. A processor-implemented decision tree module inputs the document score and document attribute values into a decision tree and generates an output representing a refined score based on the document score and at least one of the document attribute values.

Abstract: Disclosed is a portable downloader comprising a pen-shaped housing and a circuit board provided inside of the pen-shaped housing. Provided at one end of the circuit board is a micro-universal serial bus (MUSB) port. Connected to the circuit board are a ground wire and two data wires. Each data wire is connected to a probe at the other end. Provided at the end of the pen-shaped housing corresponding to the MUSB port is a socket. Provided at the other end are two position-fixing holes. The two probes penetrate the position-fixing holes. The MUSB port connects to a computer universal serial bus (USB) port through a USB-MUSB computer extension wire. The portable downloader uses USB power supply with no need for an external power supply, and supports hot plug. The downloader uses the two probes as the C2 port, and is convenient to transmit data to C2 slave devices. The downloader is of a pen-shaped packaging, and is therefore easy to carry.

Abstract: An in-application upgrade method is used for optical module firmware not breaking a service. A storage area for internal programs of an optical module is divided into two areas which are respectively used for storing upgrade and application programs, and is divided into an area for backing up an interrupt vector table of a Boot program. An upper computer is in communication with the optical module. The interrupt vector table is switched, and the jump between the Boot program and the application program is achieved. The method includes extracting the contents of firmware, entering a download mode and updating the firmware. The original firmware is erased, and new firmware is written. An application mode is entered, the upper computer sending an exit command from the download mode. The upgrade program exits and a new application program is executed. The optical module operates normally without interruption.

Abstract: A method for forming a semiconductor device includes forming a gate structure over a substrate, performing a lightly-doped drain (LDD) implantation of first dopant ions into the substrate using the gate structure as a mask to form LDD regions in the substrate, performing, after the LDD implantation, a pre-amorphization implantation (PAI) into the substrate using the gate structure as a mask to pre-amorphize at least a portion of the LDD regions, and performing, after the PAI, a high-doping implantation of second dopant ions into the substrate using the gate structure as a mask to form highly-doped regions at least partially overlapping the LDD regions.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a pseudo product group for an item to be listed in an online marketplace having unstructured data is determined. Then, a fair market price for the item is determined using past data from listings in the pseudo product group. The fair market price may be used as a reference price in a curve of price elasticity versus price to obtain a price elasticity value. A price range may then be recommended to a user for the listing based upon the fair market price and the price elasticity value.

The foreign controller extracts network control information addressed to the mobile client device received from the home wireless controller via a multicast stream associated with the multicast group, and forwards the network control information to the mobile client device via the communication path.

Abstract: A non-volatile memory structure includes a source and a drain. The memory structure includes a substrate and a dielectric layer on the substrate. The memory structure further has a gate, which can be a floating gate, on the dielectric layer. A recess is on the drain side and nearest to the bottom corner of the dielectric layer. The recess is configured to reduce the electric field density around the bottom corner nearest to the drain in order to reduce the damage on the dielectric layer when the memory is under a bias.

The method is conducted by using a clean slide, followed by adding 10˜30 ?l primary stain from a reagent kit, adding an equivalent amount of specimens uniformly on said slide, then immediately adding 30˜60 ?l counter-stain on said slide for incubating 15 seconds, rinsing with water, and finally examining under a microscope, the result appears color contrast on the center of the slide between the Gram-negative bacteria performing light red color and the Gram-positive bacteria performing deep purple color.
