    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for epoxidizing an olefin mixture (11), comprising at least two olefins selected from the group consisting of ethylene, propylene and 1-butylene. Particularly the present disclosure relates to a process comprising contacting the olefin mixture (11) and solvent with hydrogen peroxide (12) in the presence of a heterogeneous Lewis acid catalyst in a reactor; and recovering a product mixture (15) corresponding to the provided olefin mixture (11). The present disclosure further concerns the product obtained by the method as well as the use of the recovered product mixture in the production of polycarbonates, cyclic carbonates and/or polyols, preferably polycarbonate or polyether polyols for use in polyurethane products. The present disclosure also relates to an integrated process for producing epoxides, wherein the olefin mixture is separated from Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (7).

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an active and selective zeolite catalyst having MTT structure that is useful in skeletal isomerisation of light olefins. The method for the manufacture of the zeolite catalyst having MTT structure comprises the steps of a) preparing of a gel mixture capable of forming crystalline material, and the mixture comprising sources of alkali or alkaline earth metal (M), of an oxide of a trivalent element (X), of an oxide of a tetravalent element (Y), water and a directing agent (R), and the mixture having a composition, in terms of molar ratios, within the given ranges; b) maintaining the mixture under sufficient conditions, including a temperature of from about 100° C. to about 250° C., under dynamic mode of stirring until crystals of the material are formed, recovering the material; and c) removing the directing agent (R) partly or totally with a calcination procedure.

The aledhyde is obtained by an aldolisation reaction of an aldehyde having at least two &agr;-hydrogen atoms and a formula according to R1CH2CHO, wherein R1 is selected from a group comprising hydrogen, alkyl groups having 1-7 carbon atoms which can have cycloalkyl substituents, cycloalkyl groups, aryl groups and aralkyl groups with 1-7 carbon atoms is the alkyl chain, with formaldehyde in the presence of water in an amount of 20-70 wt %, preferably 40-60 wt % and in the presence of an anion exchange resin. The hydrogenation is preferably carried out in the presence of water.
