Media items are arranged by clustering with multiple dimensions, wherein they are queried by defining the first entry for one dimension, wherein the next entry is based on the other dimension from the media items fulfilling the first entry.

    Abstract: The invention discloses a solution for synchronization of media items between a mobile terminal and another terminal device. The metadata structure (and metadata associations to media items) in the mobile terminal is updated based on the categorization work a user does in the storage system in assigning files to folders. Correspondingly, media items are rearranged in the storage system based on new metadata assignments in the mobile terminal. A media item refers e.g. to a digital picture, a sound clip, a video clip etc.
