Patent number: 6938022Abstract: An information system (12) for storing personal information of a customer (20) is provided herein. The customer (20) preferably communicates with the information system (12) using the Internet. Further, the customer (20) preferably uses an anonymous identifier (320) to gain access to the information system (12). The customer (20) can create the anonymous identifier (320) to assure anonymity and to facilitate anonymous and secure transactions over the Internet. Some or all of the personal information of the customer (20) is preferably electronically shredded and defaced before storage in the information system (12). This feature allows the customer (20) to maintain private data (25) in the information system (12) anonymously and shields the private data (25) from even the operators of the information system (12).Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2000Date of Patent: August 30, 2005Inventor: Tara C. Patent number: 6069614Abstract: An improved man machine interface for computer, television, electronic games and appliances, allowing rapid, easy and natural control and selections from a large array of choices. The remote control device has one multi-function thumb push switch, allowing cursor movement, rate of movement and object selection to be performed from this one thumb switch and an index finger slide switch for mode control, whereas these switches are located in the natural resting positions of thumb and finger when the device is held in either the left or the right hand. The remote control device is equipped with a display window for displaying device status, transmitting means, working in conjunction with a general purpose computer with a video monitor for controlling and selecting program data, or working in conjunction with a television controlling and selecting television programming choices.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1996Date of Patent: May 30, 2000Inventor: Tara C Singhal

Patent number: 5433400Abstract: An aircraft comprises a hollow elongated body having a plurality of short wings projecting outwardly form the body in a vertically stacked array. The wings transverse substantially the entire length of the body. Engines with diameters substantially equal to the maximum width of the wings are mounted behind the wings, with at least one engine mounted on either side of the aircraft. Honeycomb structures mounted behind each engine cause the air thrust rearward by the engines to be directed as a smooth laminar flow of air. Air deflectors mounted behind the honeycomb structures deflect the air thrust rearward by the engines. A steering mechanism can orient the deflectors: (i) in a downward direction to provide an upward lifting force on the aircraft, or (ii) in an upward direction to provide a downward force on the aircraft, or (iii) in a port or starboard direction to steer the aircraft. Landing gear is attached to the bottom of the aircraft. Resilient structures are used to absorb shock in case of a crash.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 1993Date of Patent: July 18, 1995Inventors: Tara C. Singhal, Mukunda Singhal

Patent number: 5407151Abstract: A device for flight control of a model plane has a plurality of photo cell sensors, preferably, located on the wing tips, nose and tail and connected to a logic circuit inside the body of the plane. The logic circuit, computes the location of the model plane based on the sum and differential output of the sensors, and outputs electronic signals that drive the servo motors controlling the plane. The logic circuit can be calibrated to individually calibrate the rudder, elevator and the throttle electronic signal output, based on the light received by the photo cell sensors. Inside an enclosed space, a focussed beam of light is directed at the model plane. The logic circuit, receives the sensors' output, and using them computes the location of the model plane within the beam of light. The focused beam of light is swivel attached to a motorized control for swiveling the reflector housing in a predetermined pattern of a closed path racetrack holding pattern and a closed path figure eight holding pattern.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 1993Date of Patent: April 18, 1995Inventor: Tara C. Patent number: 5236150Abstract: A way to make model/experimental planes crash proof by a shock absorbing harness mounted over the body of the plane, which does not significantly affect the flying abilities and qualities of the model/experimental.The harness protects against collision with ground or other objects by strategically placing shock absorbing structures on the body of the aircraft. These structures are protruding from the overall outer dimension of the model/experimental aircraft and are the ones to first hit external objects and the ground. These shock absorbing structures are made of material that is light and provides the resiliency and cushion against the impact to the model/experimental body. The design is such that they add very little weight and drag to the model/experimental aircraft. The structures are made of thin wires and resemble an inverted question mark in its basic configuration.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 1991Date of Patent: August 17, 1993Inventor: Tara C. Singhal

Patent number: 5189765Abstract: This device creates a joint between two flexible surfaces that can be done and undone with the ease of an ordinary zipper. The device consists of edges on the surfaces to be joined. These edges consist of continuous multiple channels in the form of ridges and grooves and a joining aid in the form of a Flared Y shape tube which when pulled over the surface edges to be joined would apply force in four directions and would force the grooves and ridge channels to fit in each other at the correct angles creating a multiple seal, thereby each of the seals consisting of tightly fitting rod and its corresponding groove. The groove channel openings are offset from each other creating a joint resistance to pull in any direction. The flared Y tube has three tapered edges inside the tube which apply force in separating the three rod/groove sets if the tube is pulled over the joint in the reverse direction.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 1991Date of Patent: March 2, 1993Inventor: Tara C. Singhal

Patent number: 5191275Abstract: A battery pack, made up of ordinary rechargeable nickel cadmium size AAA cells, that would output six volts and would fit inside the battery compartment of electrical devices designed to accommodate 4 AA size cells. This would obviate the need to carry and hook to the device external rechargeable battery packs. The battery pack also has electrical wires that end in a connector that could be used to charge the pack or power devices that need external battery packs. A charging bracket that enables charging of this power pack.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1991Date of Patent: March 2, 1993Inventor: Tara C. Singhal

Patent number: 5172042Abstract: This invention would temporarily alter the size of a smaller size cell into a next larger size cell, so that smaller cell can be interchangeably used in devices designed for next larger size cell. For example it would allow a size AAA cell to be charged in the same charger that charges AA cells without the added expense of buying a AAA size charger. The size changer aid consists of two hollow tubes. One of the hollow tube is inserted on to the top end of a smaller size cell until all the way such that the positive terminal of the cell is accessible from the end of the tube. The other hollow tube with a conducting button is inserted on the bottom end of the cell.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 1991Date of Patent: December 15, 1992Inventor: Tara C. Singhal
